• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Looking at getting an S or EX to replace our recently totaled S model, is the stereo quality better in the EX?

The stereo is the same. Same number of speakers. If you want a better sounding system you have to step up to the SX. Changes from 6 speakers to 10 speakers and the Harman/Kardon system. The only change from S to EX is the larger display with navigation - sound will be the same.

What Marcin said, however, I find that the EX radio is better than I thought it would be. I am going to look into a third party sub and amp to see what it may do for the sound.

Did anyone notice in the S the volume in the rear speaker is very low? If so did you able to fix the issue?

Did you check if Quiet mode is disabled and if your balance/fader settings are centered? You could even fade more to the rear if you think that will even out the volume output with the front.
