Sad but grateful

My wife and two young children were stopped at intersection when a Ford F-350 plowed into back of them at an intersection. Luckily the vehicle did it’s job and all walked away pretty much unscathed. Really crappy to try to have to figure out we are going to be able together another one as this one is likely totaled. Any advice on how to try to secure another one? Given we traded ours in at the dealership, not like we have another car on sides lines and State Farm only provides rentals for a capped time

Many MInnesota dealers sell at Sticker price and Southwest has usually got cheap airfare, make an adventure out of it. Fly up and drive back. Looks like there are some in stock at metro twin cities dealers.

I think people have been noticing more and more Tellurides on lots, especially if you are not picky about trim level and color. If you need one immediately, start calling dealers and follow the thread here that tracks Good Dealer Dealings (something like that) to find ones that sell at MSRP. Use Failcat to find what's being produced lately and where they're headed. And keep an open mind about having one shipped to you or renting a car to go pick one up in another state. Lots of people here will be able to help you with info. Good luck!

I'm so glad your family got through that unscathed... looks like that Ford hit her pretty hard. Speaks well of the Kia crash safety but I'd still recommend they get checked out. I have known of some whiplash that doesn't present right away.

Ohhhhh so sad but glad everyone came out of this ok. You need AWD in GA??? If not, my dealer, Parsons Kia in Winchester VA has a FWD SX+Tow on the lot, has been there a few weeks. Selling at MSRP. Have taken the trip to GA a few times from here, not a bad trip although long. Winchester is right off I-81 near the VA/WV border. Its a nice time of year for a fall foliage trip!

Yikes, that's everyone's nightmare. Well, let me rephrase that -- everyone's nightmare is much worse. So glad that cars are built to withstand a LOT these days and that everyone is OK. Good luck with the replacement.

Looking at the picture - one thing I noticed is that despite such a massive vehicle hitting you - the third row appears to be in tact. Always wondered how robust the safety cage is around the third row that is so close to the rear of the vehicle.
