• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I am in the shopping phase, and I have narrowed it down to a Telluride, Ascent, and Pilot for various reasons that I won't get into. All things seem to favor the Telluride, except one thing. I can't get comfortable in the driver's seat, a true deal-breaker.

One issue is that the armrest on the door is very low, and my arm won't reach down to it unless I lower the seat all the way. But, the armrest in the center console is several inches higher than the one that is on the door, so lowering the seat makes it too high. I find it very odd that they would not be the same height as they are on all the other cars I tested. The second issue is that there appears to be no fore/aft adjustment in the headrest which I find is pushed too far forward. It seems odd that a car in this price class would not have an adjustable headrest.

Anybody else finding these issues, any solutions?

Thanks.

Yes , these are a few idiosyncrasies that this car has, mostly good, some questionable, and a few bad. Personally, this didn't even enter my mind driving the car until I saw a few posting here. Everyone has different needs buying a car, it depends on your priorities. If you came away from testing this car and this is the primary concern, a car with better seating options might be the answer. You can't beat German SUV's for their interior and seating.

I'm not sure how you normally sit, but I have found both the armrests and the headrest just fine. Arm rests are fairly level for me - not 100% level with each other, but I'm usually keeping at least one hand on the wheel, so they don't have to be. Headrest never touches my head except maybe once in a while at a traffic light.

On the other hand, I like a seat that's more bolstered. Still, these are comfortable on long rides - just don't hug me as much as I prefer.
