• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Seatbelt chime

In our old '71 SuperBeetle, my dad would buckle his seatbelt behind the drivers seat so the buzzer would never go off.

I understand where you're coming from on this, sometimes you're just down the street, check the mail, in a parking lot, dropping someone off, whatever and it's irritating. The only thing you can do is hold down the release button on the buckle to make it think it's buckled, unless you want to rig it. I also noticed if you don't have the buckle on and then you park with it still running. It'll keep chiming at you.
