• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Security Alarm wont stop going off!

I recently purchased a 2020 Gravity Gray Telluride and I absolutely love it! The only issue I have is if I leave the sunroof open or windows cracked to keep it cool the car alarm goes off consistently. Does anyone know if this is something that can be changed or disabled?
Mine does the Same thing!!

The dog was setting off the alarm. We disconnected it but it is STILL going off. Have an appointment with the dealer but would like some answers before then.

Mine did the same thing when I got it.

The alarm kept going off when I left and locked the vehicle. Well it turned out that the Telluride has a sensor in the back that alerts you if you leave someone ( kids left in the vehicle) and walk away.

The dogs were setting it off. I had no idea because the salesman didn’t mention it. It can be disabled.
How can it be disabled

Thanks for posting this - my car alarm keeps just going off - one time with dogs in the car with doors locked and windows down. But also when left windows down some and locked doors - how can I disable the sensor for the the back seat? Thanks

It is in your settings. Your manual has the info. It also explains how the alarm functions.

On my 2024, it's under user settings > convenience > rear occupant alert.

I highly recommend reading your manual...going through all the settings...if you haven't. I found it helpful to have it downloaded on all my devices so I can use the search function. No matter where I am when I want or need to find info, I can!
