• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... traveling cross country in our 1 month old telluride. warning sounds randomly after door lock with smart key. can't leave it alone locked. Sometime it goes off while unlocked...in Colorado Springs, discovered that dealers will not give travelers any priority in warranty service..."sorry our next appointment is 3-4 days from now". Kia "has no relationship with dealers, their choice to service your car". Discovered that grandkids left the 3rd seat center seatbelt from the ceiling connected. Disconnecting and replacing the belt in ceiling worked!!??...for 36 hours. Finally found a wiring diagram on line and unplugged the security system relay in the underhood box. Will go to my local dealer when we get home. If this happens to you, take the fuse/relay cover off and remove the fuse with the tool provided. The box diagram will show which 15 amp fuse to pull. Not a happy customer.

99% of “phantom alarms” with the Telluride and Palisade are due to the rear occupant sensor. If you have it enabled, I’m willing to bet that is the source of your problem.

It will detect minute movements in the vehicle (bugs, air, lights) and makes it impossible to leave the vehicle with any window open. Make sure you’ve disabled that feature. You’ll probably be set.

Agreed woth @bruesjoh04. Just disable the feature in your instrument cluster menus. It would be a shame if the ROA sensor is so sensitive that it will falsely trigger from just the seatbelt being left in the down position. Unless you park with your windows open, then the wind is likely the cause.
