• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I totally forgot about the Kool-Aid man bursting through a wall

I think some dealers are calling these FleeceUrides! They look at every opportunity to fleece people out of thousands in markups and silly addons ($600 nitro fill anyone?)

Best I've seen on addendum was free Wi-Fi and bottled water!

See post where dude pays 10k over MSRP...lmao
Not just him. Lot of people with money to burn.

People are apparently paying $40-50K over MSRP for the new MB G63. A guy on Lease Hackr was told he could only get MSRP if he bought two.
I know a guy who sold one at like 50k over msrp. Dr in Texas just stroked a check for it. It happens.

only cars worth paying over msrp for are the rare ones that are practically guaranteed to increase in value. Pagani, 918, p1, laferrari etc. otherwise its just throwing money away (even if you can "afford" it) 50k over for a merc!!! ouch its only a g wagon

For that kind of money, I'd buy a Landcruiser, or an Audi Q7, or just be patient.

Poster was referring to a Mercedes Benz G63 (not a Telluride) with a sticker that starts at least $156,000. Given their rarity, Jason noted that one was sold for $50k over sticker - so well in excess of $200,000. Now that's a markup.

Speaking of the "Selluride", the Seltos is arriving, and on the seltosforum.com I've seen some dealers attempting to charge markups. That's funny. I think markups will be much harder to obtain on the Seltos due to the crowded class it competes in. It doesn't seem to have real price advantage. What's your perspective on it, Jason? Does the interior "feel roomier" than a Sportage? I know the base engine is less powerful, but the new Soul is fun to drive and that 1.6 Turbo is appealing. I liked the Sportage interior, but don't like the exterior. I imagine a new Sportage will launch in 2022 - it's their old design hanging around.

I can't gauge the Seltos' direct competition from the descriptions - because it falls between subcompact and compact platforms. It's bigger than a Kona, but smaller than a Tucson? Or is it similar to Tucson? Smaller than a CX-5, yet it feels big inside? I'm quite confused... I guess I need to go check one out. I'm bummed about it not having ventilated front seats and hard touch dashboard. Maybe will just have to get another Telluride. :)

Wow. Mark up a Seltos. Telluride Greed has boiled over!

Ah, thanks. At that level I guess it makes more "sense". Porsche GT3s go for ridiculous markups also.
