So sad, but Looking at Palisade Limiteds now... 3.7% off MSRP Can I get anywhere near this deal on a Telluride?

I'd say no. If you shop around, and are willing to wait, you can get one at MSRP from the right dealer.

A random internet price is not an official quote. And that is for the Palisade anyway. Why is this useful information?

What's the best I can do in the next week or two on a Telluride SX? This is the link to the Palisade
You are lucky Americans.
With great pleasure, I began to buy an palisade ultimate and did not wait for telluride, but in Canada, prices just suck:
On the market throughout Canada for about 100 ultimate in 2020, they are sold at the recommended price, without a discount. There is no deferred payment, and even if it is financed, it will be at 2%. In a week, dealers will start receiving 2021 from Korea, but despite this, 2020 is still trading on dumb terms.
Hopefully the Koreans will change their incentives on August 1st.

I like everything about the Palisade EXCEPT the front end. I just can’t warm up to that unconventional look.

If they change that front end I might be interested. Dealers around my area have plenty of them on their lots. I believe I’m not alone in the hate the front end club.

If anyone can find me a gray, white, or Moss Green SX at MSRP available now let me know! Thanks! :)
You’ve been a member of the forum for over a year, and now all of a sudden you are in a hurry to get your TRide?

It will most likely be a long wait for both discounted pricing and increased Tellluride inventory. The Covid crisis has produced the perfect storm for all stakeholders: supply chain, manufacturer, dealer, and ultimately the buyer.

Entering into the pandemic, the Telluride was already in extreme demand with a staggering backlog. Factor in pandemic parts and assembly delays, and now things get even more uncertain, especially for selling dealers. Many dealers are renegotiating agreements with their financial institutions in order to remain solvent . (similar to most any business today) Dealer P&L models are based on historical data for unit sales + drag on service / accessories etc.. Financial institutions will gauge risk based on the submitted business plans. In this environment, business plans have become somewhat irrelevant. Way too much uncertainty for many institutions to continue taking on new risk.

As of end of June, the Telluride had 15 Market Days Supply. (MDS) With Inventory Tight, It’s a Market of Haves Versus Have-Nots - Cox Automotive Inc. The numbers are't available yet for July. It's rumored the Telluride is now at 8 days MDS. These are unimaginable numbers to dealers betting their business (and financial commitments) on the profit that popular models could command. These are truly hard to find vehicles with a premium if you'd like one in your driveway ASAP.

Enjoy the ride!

I have seen a few Hyundai dealers online trying to pull the same crap as KIA dealers with a mark up over MSRP for the Palisade.

Try Jason Fox with Kia of Muncie, if you don't mind waiting on an order, they do under MSRP on the Telluride with costco pricing.

Good luck!
California has them at $10,000 over sticker.
The Palisade is nice, but more for the soccer mom crowd. Wait for the Telluride.

Royal Kia here in Tucson isn’t marking up.. they’re the only dealer I could find here in AZ that would sell me one at MSRP... I had planned to order order a 2021 LX AWD but found out on Thursday they had a 2020 EX in stock almost fully loaded.. so I swooped it up for $38,980 plus tax license registration and doc... I used the CarPilot app and it updated daily and alerted me as soon as dealers got new inventory in stock.. Id def check out Royal.. I think they still might have one in stock...

There's your opportunity for an SX-P.

"

Looks are subjective...that said - there are some key trim differences that make the Telluride a better buy in my opinion:

- Power folding side mirrors in top trim
- Traditional Shifter
- Auto up/down on all windows
- More interior space

The trade off is that you lose the digital dash in the top trim and power folding third row. Although - I actually don't like power folding third row. Takes up a little bit of space in the under floor storage area and they are slow.
