• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Squeaking

Hello all, I am having the exact same issue. Pinpointed to captain’s chair on passenger side in second row when the seat is unoccupied and all the way back. Squeaking started last October and I took it in to my dealer in January. They did something to the seatbelt. It has continued to squeak and I took it to another Kia dealer today. They say it’s the rear struts. Nothing mentioned about the seat. Has anyone experienced a true fix for this problem?
Yes I'm hearing the same squeak, it's hard to pin point where it is coming from. I think Kia should recall for that.

I have the same issue also. Only squeaks when the passenger second row seat is all the way back. Dealer couldn't detect the issue. Maybe they should read the forums. I can make it squeak by hitting the side of the seat when it's parked.

Is it the part of the seat that sits closest to the door that replicates the sound when you hit it? I haven’t tried to replicate, but have brought them audio of the squeak both times. When I move that seat up just a bit, the squeaking stops. I’m trying to attach a video of the sound but am having no luck.

It seems to come from the back of the seat near where it attaches. It is maddening when you are driving and the seat is all the way back although my wife seems to be able to tune it out.

has the dealer been able to solve this? I find the sound very irritating as well!

I have to take it back I guess. Was in for a routine service so I hope to get back for the squeak

Some have pinpointed the squeek coming from the LATCH child seat anchors rubbing against the leather seat cushions. Try wedging a paper towel or scarf in between the bottom and back cushion, or tilt the seat back to see if it solves the problem.
