Haven’t had it happen yet.. if I was doing so it would be better to sell here in this forum. I’m certain you would get more here than trade value.. although you would lose out on tax credit if you financed or payed cash for the Telluride you are considering to trade

What exactly does the request ID mean? I have one and not really sure what it does.

The request ID shows that the dealership placed an order for you. It is a request to the motherboard(Corp Kia) to get that color combo filled and allocated to your dealership.

Once Kia fills the order(agrees to give dealer your color combo trim) then a internal number gets generated along with your ETA to arrive at dealership.

Once Telluride goes through the production line the internal number changes to the exact Vin number in the production line.

Then it gets sent to the dealer.

Wooow still can’t believe there are fools paying over for a Kia car. I’m here on this forum from day one, still didn’t buy Kia, and it looks like I won’t, CA dealers are straight out crazy. For me 5k is huge and I don’t want to throw it away, and working around trims can save couple more. I’m working on a Subaru, and 2020 is going at below invoice, sounds like a deal to me. I wanted EX but don’t want to be fooled, Subaru Limited might do...still have time, but there are no cars available here and I’m not joining Kia Fools Club

Subaru Ascent? Don't do it!! Traded my Ascent for an EX. It was too "Subaru" for me and the issues/problems with them are actually surprising. They badly mishandled the CVT. No doubt you have been on the Ascent forums, scary stuff. Sucks to be in California though why not go out of state and ship?
