• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I was adding washer fluid to the reservoir and noiticed on the 2 open holes on the underside of the hood oil runoff. There was a small accumulation on the black plastic to the side of the headlight and some looks to have run down the washer fluid tank itself. Not a significant amount, but still concerning. The car has 6100 mikes and is due in this Friday. The oil cap is tight, oil level normal, this just seemed weird. I unfortunately cannot load any photos anymore no matter what I do.

i had a strange oil leak when ours had 1700 miles on it but i wasn't able to locate the source...photos have to be downsized to upload to this site due to size restrictions...i usually have to go to the photo in my album and take a screen shot and then post it and sometimes that doesn't even work...i would just clean it up, put some cardboard under the car and keep monitoring...in our case it never happened again...good luck

Hard to imagine the source of the oil. Is dipstick snug? Are the hoses and pipes (by running your fingers when the engine is not hot) clean? Did you remove the engine rubber cover to check the engine? Thanks.

Yeah, everything was/is tight. No running on any hoses that I could see and nothing dripping on the garage floor. I am about to resize the photos to post hopefully

Noticed the exact same thing on my 2022 (Picked up six months ago). I’ve cleaned it up twice and am waiting to see if it accumulates again. I read somewhere that it may some anti-corrosion oil sprayed inside the hood at the plant that takes a while to seep out.

Ah, that would be interesting and a lot less concerning. I check it every time we take a long drive and weekly if we don't. Thanks for that thought line, i woukd have never thought of that it all

the location where it's coming from doesn't seem very concerning but it is weird...wipe it down and monitor it...doesn't seem like anything to worry about
