  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Here’s my good news story. Jan 28 I first test drove Telly S. Loved it but wanted higher trim with tow. Local dealer said I’d need to order if I wanted EX or SX. I stumbled onto this site and found the lookup tools and thanks to all the advice I started calling the recommended dealers in my vicinity who I noted had been getting EX and Sx Telly’s with P/T. Within a couple days and about 6 dealers I found one indicating they’d be getting an EX P/T dark moss in around March 22. And it wasn’t a customer order so I could put a deposit down. I did of course. I noticed this dealership had been getting lot of EX and a few SX models based on the Vin lookup tool found on other threads in this forum. So I was hopeful that it was a sure thing. Anyway. Deposit placed on Feb 14. On Feb 25 got a call from dealer... they had a dark moss EX P/T come in and the original buyer backed out??? I already knew the exact one because I’d been poring over their vin allocations. It was exactly like the one I was expecting on Mar 22 but $100 or so cheaper. Not sure why. Didn’t argue. Just said I’ll be there and take it. 7 hour round trip but worth it to me. MSRP. Plus got the $400 military discount. No games no hassle. Tried to sell me scotchgard. But that’s to be expected. Very pleased and I hope others will benefit from the support and tools on this forum. The dealer was Ferguson Kia in Broken arrow Oklahoma by the way. Victoria was my sales rep.

Love it, glad to see another success story. Also, thank you for your service!
