SX Prestige w/ Harman Kardon Stereo Sound Distortion

Had our telluride at dealer yesterday and they are ordering new center speaker. They said they let it run an hour and touchscreen was around 105 and that is normal range according to Kia. I told them it has been up to 114 and he just said keep eye on it 😶
 
We just got a new telluride sx and have the same problem! The speaker sounds worse than anything I have ever heard and we are about to go on a 2 week road trip. This sucks.
 
Likewise. We didn't notice the issue until the day after driving off the lot.
Dealer replaced center speaker. 2 week turnaround process of ordering the part and getting installed.

Brought my 2021 with 2,800 miles into the dealership for the same issue. They said they needed to order the speaker. Now I'm being told its on backorder until mid-July WTF

Yeah, they've had issues with center speaker. I had mine replaced awhile back and no issues for now!!
 
Yup. My 2021 purchased in Feb developed bad distortion in front center speaker. Into dealer today and they have to order another (on backorder).
 
Hi All, same thing happened to my '21 SX. Just took it to the dealer and they confirmed it was a defect. The dealership went to place the order for a replacement, but they are on National backorder with no ETA. Seems to be a growing problem with the recent '21's.

Same thing JUST happened to me today. On my fourth drive (in/out of car) of the day running errands, and it appeared out of nowhere. No loud playing of music or anything prior, just a very noticeable distortion across Radio and Apple Play. Will be contacting dealer tomorrow.
 
Following up on this thread as my issue has finally been resolved as of today. It took a few trips to the dealer and them needing to contact Kia HQ for direction on trouble shooting. They tested speakers, and connections, and finally at suggestion of HQ swapped out the amp and voila! That was it. Then waited about two weeks for a replacement amp to be ordered and it arrived and was installed today. Back to pretty great sound! No more distortion. It was NOT the speaker, it was the amp itself.
