• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have decided on the SX trim without the Prestige package, as in my opinion, it didn't make sense for $4k.

Having said that, Dune interior is not available, and I am left with either Espresso, or Butterscotch as viable interior options. I have attached the interior pictures from the configurator, and to me Butterscotch looks better overall. I like the Espresso better, but everything looks the same. I am confused now.

I know this might be a duplicate post, and I have looked through the forum, but if anyone has actually seen, or clicked photos, and have opinions, it will be of great help.

Just my personal opinion, but I think the butterscotch looks too light and out of place in the all black cabin, while the espresso adds an extra color that doesn't really match the two-tone cabin. I think the dune works in the SXP because its the closest in color to the faux-wood paneling. I have only seen the butterscotch and dune in person, so take the for what it's worth.

That being said, we picked black for our SX because we're boring.

Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. I had a question for you. The interior roof and the front columns look to be different colors for Espresso, Butterscotch and Black.

Since you picked black, is the interior roof white in color, as shown in the configurator?

Yes it is. And, I remember the butterscotch one I saw having black columns and roof as well, so I assume the interiors from the configurator are accurate.

Thanks. I am gravitating towards the Espresso interior which has white columns and white roof.

Did you like the white color option?

I do, but mostly because I think it contrast well with the black. The exterior is white as well so the colors are cohesive.

I own an Ebony Black SX with Butterscotch interior and it is stunning. The color is not too light and it compliments the interior accents.

I ordered and just received (in 35 days!) the Pearl White SX with Espresso leather interior. As previously mentioned I leased it for $2200 under factory MSRP. The Espresso is actually slightly darker than the configurator pics but I feel it blends more subtly with the dash and doors (brown/brown). Not as dramatic a contrast as the Butterscotch package. I also prefer the off-white column & ceiling liner to the Prestige package's black - makes the interior brighter IMO. And being a traditionalist, I prefer the Telly's analog gauges and conventional shifter to the Palisade's digital approach and more avant garde styling. The big KIA reminds me of my old Range Rover - but more reliable. Anyway, it's all personal taste - it's nice that we have the two brands with different takes to choose from.

I agree that the SXP's Dune interior is a great color - especially if the dash accents are brown and not black (I can't tell from the configurator). I just couldn't justify additional $2K not caring about the HUD and not preferring the black headliner.
