Hi everyone,

My wife's minivan lease is up at the end of the year. We would like to least either a Telluride or a Palisade. But I'm not going to pay MSRP.

What do you guys think our my chances of getting a decent price come December? Will the prices drop by then or should we look for backup choices?

We are in Los Angeles, CA.

Thank you

I would look for a backup. MSRP is the best you’re going to get (other than Muncie) for awhile. Demand will last through the year in my opinion.
People thought prices would go down long ago yet here were are. Checkout this thread…

You will not see Tellurides drop below MSRP in December.

MSRP actually IS a decent price for the Telluride.

Depending on the trim and options you're looking at, I think you might find that your "backup" at 3k under MSRP is the same price or still more than a comparable Telluride at MSRP. Maybe not, but keep an open mind.

The other problem being, in L.A. (or California in general) you can't even get close to MSRP, dealer mark-ups of 5-10k are standard. You have to jump through quite a few hoops to get one even close to MSRP (i.e. flying to Colorado to pick it up). Unfortunately this is probably not what you wanted to hear...but that's what's happening 🙁

Telluride is not the only vehicle selling at MSRP these days. It across the border. The new Pathfinder, the Cherokee L are all at MSRP so far.

Don't forget the terrible lease terms on the Telluride. You're better off financing. Doubt many dealers would give you complimentary maintenance as well with a lease on one of these but who knows. GL

Odds of getting a Telluride in LA below MSRP this December? Zero.........

You will pay OVER MSRP. They may hide it through various add ons and extras.

If you want the "best" deal, find out what the residual is on the minivan, and buy it. Chances are, its value was set low (a few years ago) and does not reflect current values.

Thanks for the tips everyone.

I don't want the minivan, don't like it. We will have to think of something.
