If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Telluride Pricing Increase 1/3

As of this earlier this afternoon (Friday the 10th), Kia's website was not reflective of the price increase. I used the build tool to make selections.

Placed my order at the dealer this evening and the new pricing was showing there of course. Had I not read this thread regarding the increase I would have flipped out thinking the dealer was playing tricks. I got home and double checked online and now all pricing has been updated.

What did you order and how long is your expected wait time?

I ordered a Moss/Dune SXP. Dealer said anywhere from 5-8 months as they don't want to set unrealistic expectations. There are only 2 people with SX orders ahead of me at my dealership (central IL) but they are not getting SXs as regularly as other dealerships.

That will be a long wait but it'll be worth it. I also have an SXP ordered :)

Wow, up to 8 months? I believe it though. I'm fast approaching 4 months and haven't heard a peep! The first three went fast but now I'm really feeling the pain!

Up to 8 months? That seems to be getting into 2021 territory?! I wonder when they are going to close the order books on 2020. My local dealer was telling me it is a six month wait for an SXP - so June/July time frame. If I have to wait that long - then I might as well hold off for a 2021 model.

Thoughts?

If you are buying, and they are telling you that you are looking at 6-8 months from now.... wait for a 21. Unless you want to have it for at some point in late summer. Leasing... then who cares. Just my opinion. Or, research using the spreadsheet of vehicles and call around and/or find high volume dealers and place an order there. Odds are they might be 4-6 months.

It'll matter though when you go to sell your 2020 vs. a 2021 down the road in say 2025 to the tune of a few thousand dollars most likely.

Maybe. Seems plausible they could extend 2020 production in the fall though. Too much to guess about. Full payment isn't required until delivery and the deposit is refundable. I guess if it doesn't arrive until August I could weigh out the possibilities then...

Don’t wait, because unless a competitor comes out with a vehicle that is comparable to the Telluride (and there doesn’t seem to be anything on the horizon), demand will stay strong for a long time.

This is not dying... It's getting worse.

And next January, you can say... "darn, demand for those SX-Ps is still high... I may as well hold out for a 2022 model!"

In the meantime, the rest of us will enjoy our rides! :)

Yes - I will be buying. Ask any financial adviser - leasing is the absolute most expensive way to drive a car in the long term. We keep our cars 8-10 years and try to pay cash for most if not all of it. I hate car payments. This is why I am inclined to wait to see when the 21's go into production. The Telluride will replace our 2011 Honda Odyssey which has been a reliability nightmare. The risk I have is something else breaks on the Honda POS. But if I am waiting six months - waiting a few months longer for a 21 might be the best option. Plus gives me more time to save cash for the purchase. I will talk to a dealer this weekend and see if they can give me any insight (which I doubt). Every time I see one on the road - I wish I had jumped on the bandwagon early - but I wanted to see the reviews and see some car magazines give some long term reviews first.

Haven't wanted a new car this badly in a long time.

Surprising on the Honda

We bought a 2011 Odyssey EX-L for $40K back in January 2011. Have spent $19K in repairs on it since then...thankfully most were under the long term Honda Care warranty we also purchased from the dealership. You name it - it has broken.

Wow

It's happening! I just looked at my window sticker for my SX (P) in route and the sticker price went up $675.00. I haven't spoken to the dealer yet. I will just wait till it arrives and deal with it then.
