  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Did anyone put down a $2000 non refundable deposit to order a SX Prestige? If you did a custom order - how much and was it refundable?

$1,000. 100% refundable.

$1,000 - nonrefundable.

I really don't understand this. They have limited order options. All of which are 'traditional' choices. They will 100% be able to sell any car ordered right now. No one is ordering Yellow ext with red leather or something.

I really don't have a problem with it being nonrefundable. I get the Telluride exactly like I want it and it's just a waiting game now. Received a very good price on the incoming Telluride and trade in price was good as well, which also made the decision easier. Order was placed on 3/22.

1000 refundable. I can see nonrefundable because in 6 to 8 weeks the car will start selling cheaper.

what happens if you put $2000 down non refundable, and then they say "we are sorry production is delayed again" and the SX we said was coming in Jun e/ July is now Sept or Oct.

That is not really fair in my view.

You are right sports guy, that’s why it needs to be refundable.

You are really invested in this whole months and months and months. It is not going to happen. Production is turning on pretty good now. Every dealer I am near are getting Tellurides in weekly if not daily now. Right now just googling the 6 dealers with in 30 miles of me, I get over 20 different tellurides.
They are being produce, and around me, being delivered faster then they can be sold.

To answer your question. 1.) Find another dealer. 2.) When you show up to sign the papers tell them that you want a date to be delivered by on the papers. This will give you a legal way to take back your deposit after that date. 3.) If you are soooooooooo convinced that it is going to be oct, they why bother getting on the tread mill? If I was 1/10th as convinced as you are that it is going to be until July or August if you order now, I would not bother to order at all. I would wait until may, order it for delivery in july.

When I did the rounds, I got delivery dates that was 6 weeks out. March 28 order and May 10 delivery.

Bottom line. If need the car right now, go get a subaru ascent. If you don't and will wait, then place your order.

plenty of non SX models, but most dealers obly have 1 SX. There are literally no SX with Prestage models in New England beyond the 1 Moss Green one every dealer got.

I searched the ENTIRE US for a Black SX with Gray interior and Prestige on Cars.com - there are 0 available.
