• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Telluride sx lift and larger tires

I have to admit that I'm afraid of installing this due to the potential increase in wear on components like the ball joint. Other truck forums say no to spacers, but then they have the option of full suspension kits and we don't. Has anyone installed spacer lifts on other vehicles and has there been increased wear and tear?

Don’t stress, hammer down.... so what if you need ball joints a few miles sooner.

to answer this question, you need to conduct a whole research with measurements. To use a special tool and have knowledge not on a level - I watched the video on YouTube. An ordinary person cannot do this, more precisely, as we say "by eye" and as an engineer, I can tell you that do not worry, this will not greatly reduce the life time.😋

I had the Truxxx 2" lift done by an indy shop in February and am happy with it except that the rear tends to sag. Attached are 3 pics - before the lift, immediately after the lift, and then one months later that is more typical of how it usually looks. Still has the stock 18" rims/tires.

I asked the Kia dealer about this a month ago and they said they've seen a few with the lift and that they have a lower rear end, too. They said it was nothing to worry about but couldn't explain WHY it was like that.

I have the self leveling suspension and have tried to notice whether it levels up once driven but it doesn't seem to.

self-leveling suspension only works when towing or heavily loaded vehicle. Many people think that it works like with air suspension, but as you have noticed, it is not so.

Just a thought about the self leveling suspension. Could it just be the ride height sensor calibration? Currently reading out of spec wanting to lower the rear.

I wasn't aware of any sensor for the self-leveling shocks. I thought it was just based on the pressure within the piston? I definitely could be wrong, though!

I did the install and I love it. I have mud guards that I installed prior to the tire and lift upgrade that rub a little on the fronts. I like the mud guard look but will remove them soon.

Anybody know of a shop in the Los Angeles area that could do the lift install? Preferably around the San Gabriel Valley.

Those tires look nice. How is the ride? Noisy?

Slightly noisier and the ride is slightly rougher than the stock Michelins but after a couple of days you won't notice it. I'll be taking her on a road trip to the Georgia mountains in a few weeks,I'll know better then. I'm happy with them.

Will this kind modification will terminate whole warranty or only that part?
the very fact of installation does not in any way alter the warranty. Kia can only deny warranty if it proves / justifies that the defect you claim was due to the installation of the kit.

I have a dealer provided 2" lift package and 20" tires. It looks great, but the mph is lower and the rear seems to ride lower. It doesn't seem to be level without any weight but really lowers if I have a bike rack or people in the rear seats. Does anybody else experience this lower rear height? Would a more robust suspension package help? I was considering another 1 or 2" lift just in the rear to help.

I posted the same issue earlier in this thread on Nov 29. It's annoying and even gotten to the point where people have flashed their lights at me because the lights are pointed slightly up.

Do you have the tow package with the self leveling suspension?

Eh, I get flashed even without the lift. It's those LED headlights that everyone thinks I have my highs on. So annoying.

I read in the instructions that if you don't use the rubber coil grommets, you may lose about an inch or so.

They look great, by the way do you know how wide of a tire we can install on the 20 in rims. Thanks
