Telluride sx lift and larger tires

Just Bought a new 2021 White LX AWD and just ordered the 2" lift. Excited to get this done and want to add new black 18" wheels and nice rugged looking All Terrain Tires. My question is which tire should I do and should I keep original tire size or go slightly bigger? I don't want and rub and would prefer stock performance.

That's exactly how I installed those link plates, Thanks for the pic!, I can tell that accessing the front sway bar brackets is not as easy as the rear ones but TRUXXX recommends to get them loose, drive the vehicle around and tight them back in their new position, I also added the factory skid plate, this is mine with 245/70/17 wheels/tires.

265/60/R18 is biggest without rub. 265/65r18 has some minor rub

Hello everyone, finally got new wheels for my 2020 EX AWD. I know everyone on here is going 18s or 20s but I went a different route. Installed some 265/65 17x9. There is some rubbing but I just ordered the 2" lift kit and I'm hoping that fixes the issue. The stands are a little more aggressive than what I originally wanted but it's starting to grow on me the more I look at it.

For those who installed aftermarket wheels, did you get negative camber in the rear? After driving mine for a couple miles to let the tires adjust I notice this.

Also I get wobbling while driving, could that be because I need an alignment now? Or the tires could still be off balance?

Careful with 17". Some will rub the brake calipers.

I did 17s on mine. They clear the calipers just fine.

Im getting the 2" Truxxx lift installed soon but will be installing the tow hitch first. I read somewhere that the rear may sag with the 2" Truxxx lift if you have the Tow package on there? I purchased the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" from etailer recently. What are you guys seeing?

The issue isn't with the hitch, it's with the self-leveling shocks that come from the factory tow package. There's a separate thread on that issue. But installing a 3rd party hitch won't affect the lift kit at all.

Wow thanks stanaka1 that’s a huge help. I’m going to install tow hitch first then take in for 2” Truxxx lift, then get the new tires on. Now that I have you on this thread any advice for the best AT tire size? I don’t want any rubbing to occur but from the look of this thread I can still go bigger then the stock 245 and be fine?

The largest tire size so far seems to be 265/65/17 or 265/60/18 without rubbing (i.e. 265 with a 31 inch overall diameter). The rub seems to be on the front of the wheel liner, so a lift won't make a difference. The lift does help with the approach/departure angles that are otherwise pretty poor.

Also, FYI, if you do go off-road, know that there are no recovery points in the front and you'll have to use your new tow hitch as a recovery point for the rear.

I'm out of state at the moment but this is my 17" setup with Toyo AT III 265/65. At first they were rubbing at full lock but they don't anymore.

Astron is running the same size tires that I am, but I have Falken Wildpeak and never had rubbing issues. Just goes to show that tire sizes vary a bit between manufacturers. My specs are in my signature line.

Can I get 265/60/R18 now before my 2" lift is done? I'm assuming because its so minimal it doesn't matter? I want to keep with the 18" black rhino wheels.
