Telluride vs Palisade vs Traverse - Thoughts

Telly Pros (over the Palisade):
- auto up/down on all four windows - Palisade doesn't have this
- Slightly more interior room due to boxier design and the under floor area is larger due to the lack of power folding third row
- Real Shift Lever - I hate push button transmissions - call me old school
- Styling - I like the side profile of the palisade - but I fear the front and rear styling will not age as well as the more classically designed Telluride.
- Better wheel options on top trim - the black wheels do it for me on the Telluride

Also, another Telly Pros over the Palisade as the Telluride has power folding side mirrors on the EX and SX trims where as the Palisade do not fold with power as only do it manually. I think the 3rd row seats in the Telluride are much better manual folding as the Palisade 3rd row seats fold sooooo slow, you can make a sandwich and come back before it is fully folded down or back up in the Palisade. I love the Real shift lever too in Telly over buttons in Palisade and I look the non-quilted pattern of the Nappa leather in the SX trim with Prestige package of the Telly much better than the quilted pattern in the Palisade on the Limited trim. I was getting the loaded trims so for me, the digital dash would have been nice if it came in the Telluride that the Palisade Limited trim gets which I thought about getting but I hated that the RPM gauge goes counter clockwise instead of clockwise. I agree the black rims on top SX trim are nice as well.

Saw this also! I've seen that the EXP AWD has a blackout option, but I don't think we want to go with AWD. Though, I do like the black wheels in the SXP.

The power mirrors were a big plus. The auto 3rd row, we didn't care that much about. it was a little difficult for us short people to be able to manually pull up the 3rd row from the strap in the trunk space, but not that big of a deal.

I look the non-quilted pattern of the Nappa leather in the SX trim with Prestige package of the Telly much better than the quilted pattern in the Palisade on the Limited trim. I can see how the stitch pattern would be something to consider if looking at the SX and Limited. That digital dash is pretty nice. Surprised Kia didn't offer that option but I think they might during a mid cycle refresh later on down the road.

3. The interior looked and felt lower quality.

On the plus side, it is more powerful and has more cargo room. With the black out package, it looks straight out of MIB. That hideaway cubby behind the screen is pretty cool too. And it's been my experience that domestic cars (Chevy, Ford, Chrysler) have the best A/C systems. I actually have to increase the temp in my Pacifica.

Here’s an example of an alternative that might work for the crossbars. The Amazon Q&A mentions these bars working on both the Sedona and Sorento.

Thanks for this. It reaffirms what we thought also. That blackout R package is really nice, and I do think that Chevy has the right ‘look’ now. It’s a nice looking vehicle, but that interior is certainly of a lesser quality

until we looked at the Telly and Palisade, I had no idea That they came with the sunshades, which is a win but not a dealbreaker if a vehicle doesn’t. I bet my wife on how long it takes for those shades or the clips to break.
