• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Yes, I like the Telluride better, but I can't find what I want near MSRP. Is there really a great reason not to just get the Palisade?

For me its the wind noise at 70 and the body lean we experienced. The Telly we test drove was noticeably much better than the Palisade. If we are going to spend 50K on a new vehicle, I'll wait as long as I need to in order to upgrade from my current Santa Fe.

Not really if you like it. We just preferred the Telluride for reasons mentioned above - but I never got to see a Limited. Unfortunately, finding what you want without a small markup is going to be very difficult without ordering it and waiting. Or, order from one of the dealers here and wait it out. @Mweiland posted that they have no waiting for SX allocations when they come up. Of course it will entail a shipping cost - but still best deal.

Or yeah, just get the Palisade.

Personal preference. For us my wife prefers the look of the Telluride better than the Palisade. Also - the Telluride has a few features that the Palisade doesn't. Such as power folding mirrors, auto up/down on all four windows, a traditional shifter, better looking wheels on the top trim (IMO) and slightly more interior room due to the boxier shape. So while the Palisade is available today - and has a power folding third row and available all digital cluster - the other features above won us over.

I prefer the Telluride styling but was going to go with the Palisade as it drove the same and provided automatic temperature control at a much lower trim level and cost (pet peeve of mine), except for one deal breaker. I'm 6'7" and the sight lines in the Telluride are much better for me than in the Palisade. I can't get a seat position in the Palisade that allows me to see under the rear view mirror like I can in the Telluride. I found the Palisade nicely equipped even in the base SEL trim so was going to save thousands over the Telluride EX Premium trim (to get auto temp control and 2nd row captains chairs), but the sight lines in the Palisade at my height are a deal breaker and safety issue for me. Stuck waiting for Telluride, and paying thousands more to get auto temperature control and 2nd row captain's chairs.

These are the exact same reasons we prefer the Telly over the Palisade. But it’s all personal preference the wife can’t get over the push button / electronic transmission. There’s an argument for more room in the front cabin because of the lack of a traditional shifter and the purse cubby under the console, but the boxier Telly offers ~4 (3.8 to be exact) cubic feet of extra total space, primarily to be had in the cargo area. We felt that to be more important. Another key difference between the two was the digital dash that may be a deal breaker. But since we are looking at an EX and aren’t looking at a top trim P Limited in comparison to a T SX, It didn’t / doesn't matter to us. We can do without the power 3rd row. At 5’4”, the wife can still use the pull straps in the T to manually lift the 3rd row seats.
I think it depends on what you want and how long you’re willing to wait. Now, I did mention that If Hyundai offered some major incentive (x off MSRP), then I’d stop my Telly search and jump on a Palisade
