The KIA Telluride in Black Copper

I bought a Black Copper Telly SX with Grey Interior P/T/N from a lot yesterday. I ordered pretty much the same one (minus the towing) in August from West Broad Kia in Richmond, VA. If anyone is interested in that build I guess it'll be available in 6-8 months are so. Ryan was my sales guy. They are selling at MSRP.

First wash since the ceramic was added. Surprised how glossy she looks. Other than too many water spots, she is everything we imagined.

In the sun at the right angle, yes. Shade, cloudy or at night, not so much. It could be wishful thinking but the extra gloss of the graphene ceramic seems to make the brown aspect pop more.

I don’t know if your opinion of the ‘brown’ you see on the black copper is good or bad as I don’t know if you like the color on your dodge sport.

The dark moss is more brown. Most of the time, this color is black. In the sun, it’s a mix between brown, copper, and purple. I see a shiny purple more often than not.

The greenish hue of dark moss in certain lighting was not our cup of tea and thus the reason we went black copper. No regrets here. Agree that it looks black 75% of the time but when the rootbeer/copper colors come out, its wow to us. I don't see the shiny purple so much but will be on the lookout.

Do you have a picture of your truck? Definitely no copper tone like these Mule Mugs if that was what you were thinking. Its Black paint with copper flecks in it. When the sun hits it right and the angle, the copper flecks make it look more like a rootbeer/purple/brownish color -- similar to the second picture swatch. If no sun, the color is essentially black.

Looking Great. I bought a de-ionizer for my final rinse. It worked pretty good on the first wash after ceramic for me. Prior to this my town water had a ton of minerals in it that left spots everywhere. The unit I bought is the Aquatic Life Deionized Spot Free Car Rinse

Its great to hear that! Pics do not do it justice. You’d have to see it in person. You will NOT be disappointed. Its a beautiful color and a beautiful car, especially in nightfall/nightsky. In my opinion, if I was to get nightfall, I’d get black copper, gravity gray, or white (not a fan of white but love the night edition combo with white)

Here are a few I took. You have to catch it at the right moment. But when you see that Copper color pop, it's beautiful. At any given moment, from a distance, it looks Black, but not like the Ebony Black. It's just difference, and rare color.

Here are a few I took. You have to catch it at the right moment. But when you see that Copper color pop, it's beautiful. At any given moment, from a distance, it looks Black, but not like the Ebony Black. It's just difference, and rare color.

I got my Black Copper SXP Nightfall today. Wilmington, Delaware Kia did a nice job. No haggling or screwing around. Love it. The color is terrific. It’s understated.

There are now 32 pages of posts on the topic of "Black Copper".........there is only one conclusion.....it is a "unique" color , difficult to describe and beautiful!!! Thank you KIA!

Has anyone seen a Black Copper Telluride? It would be nice to compare it to the Ebony Black and see what makes it coppery.

We own one in black copper. Honestly, it just appears black. We can see no hint of brown or copper even in strong sunlight.

Are you sure you have a black copper? When is the last time you washed the car? The color is very visibly brown in the sunlight when clean.

Agree that in real world use it just looks black 97.5 percent of the time.
