• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... The KIA Telluride in Black Copper

Where did you find it? State/dealer location?

Unsure about the other poster, but I bought my Black Copper SX non P from Wallace Kia in Stuart Florida. I had it shipped. I make note however because when looking they said they had the SXP coming in beginning of June, so it might still be avail? I believe they said it had towing too...I wanted towing which mine has, the P I did not feel the wait plus extra $ was worth it for my situation. Wonderful buying experience I felt given it was done remotely.

These are the added items for SX Prestige option
  • 110V Power Inverter
  • Automatic Rain Sensing Windshield Wipers
  • Head-Up Display (HUD)
  • Heated 2nd-Row Seats
  • Premium Headliner
  • Premium Nappa Leather Seat Trim
  • Ventilated 2nd-Row Seats

The color must just not be photographic. All I see in these photos is black. Obviously you love the color in person.

I'm not in the market yet, so Kia still has time to gets it's act together and do the SX in a true red/dark red color. I would also love to see it in a burnt orange / true copper. I really like that color on the SUVs I see it on.

Take a look at the pix I posted Feb 28 (page 20 of the thread). The color is extremely subtle. It's best seen in bright sunshine, otherwise it comes off as black. Someone described it as mostly black with occasional hints of root beer. If you want a vehicle that doesn't look black most of the time, don't order black copper.

Most important....look at the colors , get what you want!! The black copper is truly unique...."root beer" is about the best description and I really love it and the looks it gets! Buttttttt......there are some who prefer white!!!😎

Lol, my number one priority in car shopping this time was to get as far away from white as possible--without going all the way to black. I think that I succeeded:ROFLMAO:

Sorry ive only taken one

The wife and I are narrowing down colors. I was set on Moss (something different) or Gravity Gray. We saw the moss in person and my wife thought it was more brown and was looking for a more ‘greenish’ hue to the color. No longer interested in Moss.

Looking at the EX, and now that the 21s are offering Black Copper as a color option, we are debating on that or the Gravity Gray. Obviously, it’s been difficult to see a copper in person. What do you all think about your copper? (I’ve read this thread)

I have seen the Black Copper in person and although I really like the color, it is more brown, in a good way, even than the Dark Moss. We are shopping for a Dark Moss.

This is mine...and all I can say is....it is amazingly different!!!

I have seen the Black Copper in person hoping it would look more "copper" than black but it looked more black to me. I would recommend anyone interested in this color choice must find a dealer who has this color in stock. Right after seeing the Black Copper I was determined to get the Dark Moss (finally got my car on New Year's Day). The Dark Moss sometimes looks green and sometimes it looks brown which is really unique.

more brown than dark moss? Interesting. She thought the moss was too brown and didn’t have enough dark green.

This is one of the reasons my wife likes the color; it’s different

I’m hoping for more copper also, but I read that, to many, it looks black most of the time. When in the sun, it can look like a shade of purple, brown, or even have hints of red. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. I do like black, but I’m not a fan of the Ebony type blacks -gloss black with no metallic flake. because this has flake, I figure I’d like it. And the chameleon color changes may be an added bonus. then again, I think that gravity gray looks pretty spiffy.
Regardless of color, we’re getting a black interior, so I’m trying to figure out how the contrast will look with the silver wheels, black plastic fender and side trim, and black interior

I think the most accurate description in full sunlight has been root beer. if you go to a dealership and they do not have a black copper car on the lot you can see it from the paint samples they have inside the showroom. if it's a sunny day take the sample outside and you will get a real sense of the color. I find it very unique. I see way too many moss green on the roads. Everyone has that one that I see.

thank you for that advice. I didn’t even think about that. From personal experience, is that how you saw the color? Or do you have one? I missed that bit of info

I saw one on a cloudy day, definitely black, but the Copper flecks add a unique sparkle just enough to keep it from looking true ebony black. So I went to a dealership to see if I could see the car in person. My local dealership is very small and it's only gotten about 4 total telluride's since release in 2019. But he is the one that showed me the paint sample they have inside on a rack that allowed me to take It outside into the sunshine. It is so unique that I have one on order, like everybody else, waiting for my allocation and production.
