• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... The KIA Telluride in Wolf Gray

The Wolf Grays are occasionally arriving at dealers unclaimed. It takes some work to find them, but they are out there. That is how I got mine. If a little time on the phone yields the car and price that you want, why not try instead of waiting for your order to come in? Maybe put a $500 deposit on an order and be willing to walk away from that deposit if something comes in unclaimed that works for you. Just a thought. I would hate to wait for my Telly. Makes it understandable why people do end up paying markup. Patience has a price, I guess.
I had found one that I believe has been sitting on the lot in NJ for a couple weeks and they wouldn't budge on the $5 grand mark up 🤦‍♀️

That is most unfortunate, Lhutch. I did not have any luck finding cooperative dealers in NJ that didn't mark up unsold inventory. Some will do orders without markup - many have mentioned Nutley for that, but if you are willing to drive to central PA or upstate NY you might find an unsold Telly that suits you. Good luck!

Thanks to @dmaleck I was able to secure his allocation for a Wolf Gray Nightfall at MSRP! Mike Kelly Kia in Butler, PA were a great dealership to deal with! My salesman Chad Cribbins was super responsive and would text back immediately. Since I was flying into Pittsburgh they picked me up basically after hours to give me a ride back. Try to save a little money here and there for the drive home! This SUV really is amazing and has so much technology I couldn't be happier with my decision. I havent taken any pics yet since I have only been home 24 hours but here are a few. I also wrapped the front with Track Armour for the drive home just to help eliminate any rock chips, etc.

Do not hesitate to reach out to Chad at Mike Kelly he was a great salesman!

Goose, she is beautiful. Congratulations!

I was little irked when my dealer sent me this picture. I asked him not to put the bracket 3 times. They are compensating me for it so not as mad.

I wouldn't accept the car.

Meh, I live in a 2 plate state so I can't really complain. I had hard time waiting 2 weeks for mine to arrive. I will die waiting 6 months for it. :D

Damn only 2 weeks?! I live in a 2 plate state and my dealer in PA it isnt required. So I am gonna run it for as long as I can!

I jumped on the color/trim I wanted as soon as it showed up in buy/sell group. I had one lined up at the end of Nov, but this one showed up. IL is 2 plate state, but I don't think cops(at least around me) don't really care if you have one in front or not. I really like the clean look without the front plates but what's done is done. Dealer offered to "fix" the screw holes but I didn't have any faith in flawless repaint job. We agreed on something else instead.

Well. Put a deposit down on a wolf grey SXP here in MA. Was told a $2,000 mark up. But I dont see it on any of the emails/pictures that were sent to me.
ETA is supposed to be 11/27 so we shall see what happens !

I couldn't wait to order. I just wanted it now lol

Thank you! I really wonder how much more you get out of a 90k+ Range Rover or something like that. I had people on my trip back asking what it was and staring it down!
Whoa there Telly Fanboy :) !! The Interior and driving dynamics of the RR are far superior to the Telly ................But not worth the price

Lith, what a beautiful sight that is. People will be stopping in front of your driveway. Stunning.

In case you need to get paint correction pen for your Wolf Grey (yes, I got a tiny rock chip on number while waiting on the ppf) the dealer parts color is CERAMIC SILVER.

I lucked into one for MSRP at Cowboy Kia in Conroe Tx. They periodically sell at MSRP if they need to clear some to be able to increase their next order. I wasn’t specifically looking for the color but once I saw it I had to have it. Truly stands out among the rest.

Congrats Jhamp, and thanks for the paint intel.

My neighbor stopped by the other day and wanted to look inside. He was awed and was impressed how much Kia has improved since his old Sorento.

I refuse to buy it until they put a sticker over that says Wolf Gray. :D
