The wait is over (wishful thinking)

The wait for my SXP Moss/Dune is getting to the disappointment level, I had a feeling when the salesperson said 2 to 4 weeks that it maybe closer to 4 weeks after reading the forum, but since ordering on April 23, and going into the dealership after many unanswered calls and they tell me that it’s still in the request level?? And that they do not have anymore info, along with some made up guess as to why. I asked what’s my next step and they basically said don’t call us we’ll call you. (Disappointing )
I’m shopping other comparable SUVs in the mean time.

Definitely wait little longer. I did order my white/dune SX-P with tow package on March 25th and got it delivered on May.
13th. I love the car.

2-4 weeks is crazy. I ordered my SX on 4/9, and got it this past Tuesday - almost 8 weeks. And the prestige option are taking longer. Patience! It’s worth the wait, in my opinion!

Just take a deep breath and wait. I ordered mine and I will patiently wait as long as I have to. I have no control over it and neither does anyone else. Unless you are in need of a vehicle due to circumstances of not currently having one, then just enjoy your summer and then reap the reward of good things come to those who wait. That's just my two cents

And something about having to wait for a special ordered vehicle to come in is so much more exciting than picking one out of a lineup of 50 at the dealership

See if they can hook you up with a loaner? I put in an SXP late April and no definitive timeline. However, I have a loaner since the ordering so I'm not really thinking about it too much about arrival date.

I currently have a Sorento and it works fine, if the Telly gets here, it would be my 3rd Kia. I’ve been more concerned with the overall delay and anxiousness, it’s mostly communication before someone decides it’s time to move on

The first thing that happens is that they acknowledge that they have your order, picked up, added to the schedule so to speak. For me this came in a letter to my dealer with a confirmed order number.
The next step which for me was 5 days later and that is that they provide an ETA.
