• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Things you would change on Telluride SX

🤖 AI Summary

No AI summary has been generated for this thread yet.
its balanced and symetrical , nothing to do with "performance " , dont undersell the Telly , similar to the Stinger, it will be compared to the Lux segent , Kia want to over deliver and be a great value . Taking styling cues from aspirational brands keeps this vehicle refreshing ..............................
This is hardly a luxury vehicle, so there's no way I'd compare it to one. Premium, sure, if you get the SX Prestige. But plastic and fake wood/metal everywhere is not luxury. The interior design isn't luxury, and it doesn't have luxury features (think massaging seats, beverage fridge, foot stool for rear passengers with entertainment displays and control centers). It's a great value, and it's why I bought one. I'm not underselling the Telly... Teletubbie? It's a Telluride. If anything, you're trying to oversell it.

The 2020 Kia Telluride Is An Affordable Luxury SUV

I didnt say that , but he did...............and I've owned top line BMW X5s and X6s and never had massaging seats , beverage fridges foot stools etc rear screens yes . Badges are for snobs . A base tier X5 6 cyl starts at almost $18 K more than a fully loaded SXL/Prestige , equip the X5 with all the features and you're over $30K higher .........

In the automotive industry the definition of luxury changes over time. What is considered standard today was an option just a few years ago. Blind spot warning wasn't in most cars 10 years ago, now today, it is considered the norm to be in most standard models. Heated leather seats were an option on higher end vehicles, but today many cars come with it. I say this as I go out and sit in my 1929 Ford Model A (yes, I own two of them). While in it's time, it wasn't ever considered a luxury vehicle, but for many it was transportation and much better than taking the horse and buggy. People that owned a car were looked up to as a status symbol (look at them... they have a car). I look at the features that are offered in the Telluride and they rival many of what some would say are in Luxury vehicles. Luxury - It's a perspective - So - I wait for my ordered Telluride "Luxury" vehicle.

Am I the only one who wants a CD player in the Telluride? LOL.

1. Full pano roof rather than 2 seperate sunroofs

Would add more weight up top and further compromises roof rigidity/structural integrity.

Actually glad that Kia is moving away from sticking pano roofs onto every model.

Actually would say that the interior design is premium/luxury - as it has the more elegant horizontal dash layout (in addition to being relatively clean/modern).

The Telluride's dash looks better than BMW's new dash design, much less something like the Lexus RX.

Gonna date myself, but would really like to be able to increase the font size. I would think a software update could handle this issue?

I would have loved to see the headlight design from the concept car make it into the production design. I thought the squared off design recessed into the body really set it apart from all other designs out there. Any thoughts why it didn't make it into production? Cost savings, poor aerodynamics or just a styling decision??

What exactly do you do when you date yourself? I’m very intrigued.

So what exactly does he mean he’s gonna age himself?

I wished that the back sunroof could slide to let air in.

  1. The TT V6 from the Stinger.
  2. Dual exhaust
  3. Option for a blacked out sport model
  4. Magnetic ride suspension
  5. Slotted and drilled 4 piston front brakes (preferably brembos with obnoxious color options like lime green and yellow) with 2 piston rears
  6. Carbon fiber retractable rear spoiler
  7. Front and rear sport buckets
  8. Carbon fiber inserts in the dash instead of wood
  9. Center lock wheels
  10. Race red and a bright blue metallic paint options
I’m thinking they call it the Telluride SXR! Who’s with me!?!?

I can go for #2, but the rest of the list, no thanks

Sure, and thanks for jacking up the price to $70k.

- 6 radio presets physical buttons.
- Auto dimming outside mirrors.
- Option to auto switch to 360 view at low speed.
- Remote start on key fob.
- Auto-lock doors.
- Reverse manual shifter axis (I find it awkward to push to shift up and pull to downshift).
- USB data port in the glove box to hide and forget a music usb key.

360 view on command would be nice. That perspective is great

One other wish list item. Being able to lock the car from the lift gate after you’re unloaded everything and your arms are full. Lexus RX has a two-push functionality on the one button. My former car, a Genesis, had a separate lock button on the tailgate. Very convenient!
