• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey all,

I'm about 4 weeks in to our Sangria Tellie EX here in New Hampshire. Love it so far. Bought it with full intention of towing a 4200lb camper a few times a summer.. I knew we'd need a hitch (factory installed seems scarce) -- but just got the call that the dealership got their hitches in. $904.00 for the install. Steep. They explained it was due to it needing a new bumper (?) for the cut out.. Not looking for a "deal" at the dealership service center, but still pretty high. Its rated for up to 5,000... Yet the manual requires the brake system for anything over 1650.

The brake system baffles me. Its a necessity for any sane person to tow 4000+ lbs, right? -- The dealership does not offer any brake system installs -- yet the manual requires it to tow the promised 5,000lbs. A brake system is cheap on amazon - if I install myself, am I voiding any warranty... or safety of the vehicle?

Has anyone made headway? My searches on the forum have been helpful..

I've called around to third party sites, and they all still don't have any after-market hitches available yet. (etrailer.com seems to be the site they pull their hitches from)

Thanks for any feedback,
MattNH
