• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... After 11300 miles I have found the transmission to be very quick to respond. All three roads to my home consist of rather steep hills as well as many roads that I travel daily. I love how quickly down shifts occur when the manual selection is used while I am going hill, all have speed limit of 35 mph. My '16 Sorento's transmission was often slow to respond or had to be shifted a second time. Going uphill, the vehicle downshifts and roars a bit due to its weight, that's when I miss the turbo!

Can you verify that the Downhill Brake Control (DBC) engages automatically since there is no ON/OFF button for this function on the KT?

Downhill Brake Control (DBC) maintains a controlled descent on steep roads

I verify it does if you have cruise control set

Is that how the DBC is intended to work? Using the CC? I had thought that it would use its inclinometer sensor to gauge how steep the hill is and automatically apply brakes to assist in the descent.

A big difference between the Telluride and the Sorento is an 8 speed tranny compared to a 6 speed. It's the same way with my Stinger Vs. my 2016 Sorento.. it makes for a smoother ride up hill for sure.

That hasn't been out experience
