• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Trim levels. It's hard to tell what you get with each trim level.

In my thinking (and I admit I don't think like everyone else) I am not too far off - there are 4 trims below the SX and 5 above it. If you look at it from a cost angle, it starts with the LX at $35,990. The SX is $45,790. The very top of the heap is the SX-Prestige, X-Pro at $53,185. So cost wise this swings the SX above the middle but not by a lot.
I'm not trying to argue with you, but just for conversation sake, I look at it as the SX is tops and then it comes in different configurations based on preferences. Maybe someone can argue that the SX Prestige is the top trim, but I would argue that all the SX Prestige models are equal. It's just a matter of tastes and what look you are interested in at that point.

I don't think you saw my edit:

BUT, I kind of see where you are coming from - if you toss out the X trims (X-Line and Pro) that are aligned with various trims from the middle upward, you are left with 5 basic trims. The SX is 4 out of 5, putting it kind of in your designation. o_O

Kia has very poor naming convention for their trims. The SX Prestige should just be the next level (maybe VX) instead of making it seem like a variation on the SX trim.

Their inventory management is horrendous, look at these variations from trim to trim (its a bit misaligned).
You want Gloss Black Bezels on your headlights? They come with EX X-Line, but not with SX or SX Prestige. So now Kia has to inventory two different sets of headlights just for the tiny bezel. They are lucky these cars sell like hotcakes because clearly they cannot streamline basic costs.

Same with fog lights and tail lights, that's 8 different sets of lights they have to manufacture.

Ok, I didn't see the edit. But I can kind of agree with that.

Also, to everyone concerned, I'm making an edit to one of my above posts because the dealer markup for the EX I mentioned was $6k not $4k. And it was an EX x-line also.

Have to agree they are getting more and more difficult to order simply from. My 2020 SXP had everything with no other options other than dealer ad ons and towing package. Made it simple. They have branched off with packages now and made the ordering more complicated than it should.
