• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... the kia telluride will be getting the new 3.5 liter twin turbo v6. i have a reliable source. what i'm hearing is that it'll be a sport version with the option for a firmer suspension and various interior and exterior design elements. this means those of us who like tuning will be able to have a lot of fun with this suv. you heard it here first!

Heard from where? Maybe next year ... Its a 3.3T

The South Korean brands (Hyundai and Kia) are working on a new engine to replace the 3.3 liter V6 - with a new 3.5 liter. There's no saying for SURE whether or not that engine makes it to a production vehicle, however...

How about a Hybrid. That would be useful.

The engine they are quoting is 3.8L , not 3.5 or 3.3 ...................291 HP
No thats the base engine. We are talking about a more powerful turbo that is rumored.

, ohhhh , I could live without the Turbo , but more HP and Torque would be nice , I have the 3.3T , great for a car , truck maybe

Issue with an Atkinson cycle engine is that they don't make much torque. So I am questioning Kia/Hyundai's reasoning with upping 500cc and going to a 3.8 Atkinson cycle GDI motor with the same peak torque and power figures as the 3.3 GDI. I am hoping that the performance curves are fatter and flatter than the 3.3 making the torque more accessible. However, they quote those numbers at near redline. I am hoping the motor doesn't turn out to be a dud in an otherwise stellar package. If it goes 0-60 in more than 7-7.5s that will be a bummer as Sorento does that in 6.9s.
