Update 2022 Tellurides 06-07 *great job Kia

That's great to hear. I'm still waiting on a callback from my dealer who was supposed to call KIA on Friday to check on ours. ordered 3/29.
This is what i got from the sales manager today.

Bigger red flag.. maybe time to move to different dealer
I think I may have to change my dealer as well. When I asked if they ordered mine for 2022 they said

Got today allocation for 2022’s. Not only are they coming quick some are already built and hitting my store in 2 weeks.

Great news for those thinking we are months away.

this is last update posting on 2022’s as crossover is now complete.

What Trim level/options were these?

My dealer has said that I was the #1 '22 SX they entered into Kdealer when that opened back up, but it hasn't been accepted yet. He's presumed it's because Dune Brown is harder to get.

Mine is Dune interior and was picked up on Monday, so not sure how much that actually has to do with timeline.

After another call to sales manager they are telling me there is no need to re enter as a 2022 as they have a “confirmation number” and that’s all they need and it’s up to kia to build a 2021 or 2022? — any truth to this or am I continuing to bang my head against the wall :) @StephenCantrelle
To make it even better I have called 4 other local dealerships and one just told me that a 6000 dollar mark up on the EX is coming from Kia not them 🙄 I want this telluride but jeez this is about to make me jump ship
 
Just heard from the new car sales manager at my dealer that my order was one of those matched over the weekend to those already in production - sweet! He gave me an ETA of late June/early July! No VIN yet but that should be available soon. I was hoping to receive that call after seeing a few of you give this report in recent days. Looking forward to driving one of the first 2022s around town!

Man, am I grateful for the dealer I chose right about now, even if I am driving two hours to pick up my car ...
 
@StephenCantrelle - My dealer claims the accessory packages (ambient light, step bars, rear entertainment, illuminated sills) are unavailable at this moment in KDealer - is this correct? I don't want to be stuck paying dealer premiums for aftersales installation of those things.

@aaroneast help this guy out brother...

LB I would go with Aaron in Minnesota and have it shipped to you. He is taking orders at MSRP and has no pipeline so you would likely get in 2 months I would imagine for an EX model.

Shipping wouldn't be that bad more or less 1500...

This is correct.. so would have to make a call to wait till those options are available or paying installation cost when Tellurides arrives to dealer.. Either by dealer or 3rd party

Can I put in a vote to skip the rear entertainment? There have been a few threads where people are pretty unhappy with them. They seem like an afterthought by Kia. For the $1500 bucks you can buy some very nice tablets that go in the kids' laps and plug into the USB on the seat with money to spare. When those tablets become obsolete, way easier to replace than the obsolete screens that are hard-wired to the back of the seat.

Price increase was in line with what was previously mentioned on this forum and price out the door is MSRP plus the usual dealer “gotchas”. So far no horror story to report. Talked to my dealer today too. He didn't discuss any changes or price differences (which we know thanks to Stephen), but the great news is I moved up from 26th to 9th. Looking pretty good for next KFOS allocation!

What sales guy are you dealing with there? I placed an order later in May and have been trying to get my place in line and the sales guy keeps dancing around with the "2022 orders are currently being reviewed and reentered"...always seems like a different excuse. I think he said there were like 75 orders that had to be entered. Can't take that long.

I have been dealing with Roger O'Kane, who's their online sales guy, and he's fantastic. I think he's also the one entering allocation requests/orders. Sounds like you went in person and have an actual salesman that you're dealing with, which may not be the person that enters online orders and probably doesn't know your number in line.

Hey, if I moved up 17 spots, then you moved up 17 spots, right?
 
Any idea when KFOS will open for June? Or did the weekly allocations that happened this past week negate KFOS for this month?
