• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... We purchased a 2020 FWD Telluride earlier last year with the intent to tow behind our Class A using our Tow Dolly (Stehl Tow Model: ST80TD). Due to limited travel last year we plan on making our first trip towing this week. I did a test tow behind my F350 and am not happy. Hoping I am just not doing something correctly.

I have use our tow dolly on several front wheel drive vehicles with no issue and am very familiar with how to properly load and secure the vehicle.

I pulled the Telluride on the dolly, put transmission in park, turned the car off. I DID NOT set the parking break. I aligned tie down wheel straps and secured. Do have issue with safety chains to deal with - no easy place to secure.

My issue is when pulling (even at very low speeds, I never even got out of our neighborhood) the front wheels of the car turn like the steering wheel isn't locked. The tow dolly has a pivot base to help with turns.

Is there another step I should doing to lock the front wheels?

I have done extensive search's and can't find anything that clearly outlines how to properly tow using a dolly or if the front wheels of the FWD Telluride truly lock when it park.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help !!!
