• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I was playing around with the KIA Access app on my Iphone this afternoon. I told it to start the car and set the climate to 80 degrees and turn on the front and rear defrosters and heated wheel. I was sitting in the vehicle with the doors locked when I did this. Key fob was not in vehicle or on me. Car started and set the climate to 80 degrees, both defrosters on and the climate on 80 degrees. The heated seats were not on. I found that if I turned the climate down it would turn on the ventilated seats from low to high depending on how low I turned it.

So can I assume that the heated seats were not activating because my garage was too warm? I have the seats set to auto warm or ventilate in the climate control seat settings.

I think you answered your own question! :) Let's investigate in winter.

Happy to report that the drivers seat heat will turn on with remote start when the temps are low enough. No need to choose any options on the app at least on an SX as the car figures it out on it's own. So in the future when I get a remote start installed the drivers seat heat and heated steering wheel should come on when the temps are low enough.

It was cold last night and my seat and heated steering did turn on this morning the remote start. Omg what a great vehicle....

Ok...I don’t know what you all consider “cold”, but my heated seats don’t turn on when I use my app to start the car and select the heated seat option. It’s 30 here and we have 2 inches of snow on the ground. My heated steering wheel and everything else turns on, but not my seats. Is this an issue I should address with my dealer?

Do they turn on and stay on when you manually select them? There have been a few owners who have said theirs turn off after 30 seconds and have had to have their seat replaced.

I am have observed the same. I thought on uvo app 'heated accessories' would include the seats. I set my climate control to kick on 10 minutes before I leave in the AM at 75 degrees. Everything is warm and defrosted except seats. It is cold here, vehicle has been sitting outside, not in a heated garage.

I also cannot get uvo remote start to work. The only way I can get it to start is through scheduling climate control. Will be purchasing a separate remote start. I thought I could work around this using the scheduler, which works fine for 2 times a day. You can only have 2 schedules at a time. So if you want your vehicle warm in the morning, before you leave for lunch, when you leave lunch to return to work, and again when you leave work, that would require 4 schedules.

What trim level is your Telluride? On my SX there is setting in the infotainment to toggle the heated seats and steering wheel based on the climate control temperature. So when I remote start the car and set the climate to say 75 degrees my heated wheel and heated seats will come on with the remote start (assuming it's cold enough outside). The KIA Access app does not have the option to turn on the heated seats, only the heated steering wheel. I'm guessing the EX trim has the option to toggle the heated seats based on the auto climate setting and that the S model does not. So if you own an S or LX model you are probably SOL on having the heated sets come on with remote start unless they add that option to the remote start app.

Thanks for the info. It is a sx prestige. Haven't played with the controls much. Just expected the app to regulate seats too.

I’ve got an EX.

Find the area in the settings on the info display and set the climate to control the heated seats and wheel and you should be good to go.

I’ve got an EX.

Since the EX has auto climate I bet it has the same settings as the SX. Set them and you seats and wheel should start heating with remote start when it's cold enough outside or in your garage.

Thanks! I’ll go find that setting! I appreciate it.

I have an SX (without the prestige package) and cannot find the option to turn on heated seats in the infotainment system, nor any reference in the manual. Does anyone know exactly where the option is?

The heated seats are turned on via switches at top of grab handles. If you are looking for the auto setting, it's on the 10.25" screen - push setup and then Vehicle. Look for climate controlled seats.

Setup (silver button) Vehicle>Seats>climate control..you can also find the steering wheel here.

I have the EX and there isn't anything under the Vehicle Setup for the automated heated seats.

I have an SX and don’t see an option here. Am I missing something? Looking in the wrong place?
