• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Anyone experiencing vibration at low coasting speeds? I noticed it a week ago (never before) while coasting and not under any acceleration. It seems to be coming from the exhaust area. I tightened the license plate, but I don't think that's it...might be exhaust area but not 100% sure. I have an appointment for the dealer to check it out.

AWD or FWD?

When you say vibration, are you saying the entire car is shaking and you can feel it? Or you meant to say rattle, like a clicking noise you can hear but not feel.

Because tightening a license plate should have nothing to do with the entire car vibrating.

If you meant vibrating felt in the car there is a huge thread on this. Also mainly are complaints when traveling at speeds above 60 mph. Most causes appearing to be from the driveshaft, which is a major repair.

It's not really the whole car vibrating nor is it just a small rattle/clicking noise. I saw the mega thread, but this seems just to be coming from the rear area maybe by the exhaust. The vibration is more of a noise vs shaking and only happens at low speeds.

Check if there are loose belongings in the trunk area:
  • Items under the cargo tray
  • something left in the cupholders
  • Loose seatbelt tongue plates
  • Push up on the vents in the ceiling or headliner in case any of the clips are loose
Noises can be mysterious from inside the cabin too. Like it may sound like it’s coming from the right side of the car, but it is actually a bottle cap rattling around in the left doorsill.

Still vibrating after removing all items in the cargo tray and securing all seats and belts, etc. It only seems to vibrate at 1500 rpm while coasting down a low grade hill. I'll probably change my oil today and tomorrow to see what I can find underneath the car.

I have the same problem in my 2021 Kia Telluride. I kept telling them that the sound was in the right rear. They said it was the left and replaced a shock. Guess what... the noise is still in the right rear. I hear it mostly at slow speeds. Almost like it is in the exhaust system.

This winter I haven’t heard it at all. Not sure what happened as I didn’t do anything except from tightening the license plate and making sure everything in the rear was buttoned down.

I have a 2022 telluride and it has a clicking in the rear. Dealership has no idea what it is

I went to pickup my 2022 SX today and heard a very slight clicking and ticking noise coming from the front left at about 3-5 mph. The noise also occurs when brake is depressed and gas is depressed slightly. I didn’t take delivery and they are going to see what’s going on in the service department.

Anyone have an update on this. Hearing a slight ticking on my 22’ Telluride. Heard it a low speed almost coasting, and can’t get in to the dealership for another 2 weeks.

Grave digging a bit. Has anyone figured out the cause of the vibration? I have a 2020 fwd and recently my car developed a pretty loud cabin vibration specifically at 35 mph give or take a it’s coming from the right rear and sounds like it’s shaking my doors or the panels. Anything below or above like highway speeds nothing.
