I'm not sure if I'm overthinking this or something would need to be addresses. New, the Telluride comes with foil stickers over the rear license plate holes presumably to seal the door until the rear plate is mounted.
I cleared the foil sticker off one of the holes to mount a temp plate only to find I had the wrong screws so I left it unsealed. And then my car was detailed (read: probably pressure washed).
Do I need to take any action to clear out water and prevent rest/condensation/etc inside the tailgate? Like--remove interior tailgate panel to dry it out? Or is that overkill? I found and removed from the bottom of the tailgate what I assume are 3 rubber drain plugs and figured I would leave them off for a while. I did not notice any water draining but it also was raining, so if any did drain it wasn't much.
