• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So a couple of weeks ago my remotes, both of them stopped working. I replaced batteries although I thought it odd that they would both stop at the same time. Ended up calling kia roadside toy house (they were great by the way) he showed me how to unlock with the key. Two days later I had made an appointment at dealership assuming the system had a failure. Voila it just started work. Coincidentally my husband's Explorer did the same thing the same week. His manual had a clear fix, particular sequence for using unlock button even though the car was unlocked.
Just an odd experience and thought I would share.
Still loving my car!

Did the dealer check your vehicle battery; another member had the same issue with their fob and their dealer said the vehicle battery was dead.

I never made it to dealer as it just started working

Something to keep an eye on for sure

Not to freak you out. I got locked inside my Telluride 2021 a couple of weeks ago. Fob would not unlock doors. Every time I tried to unlock driver door the door would relock instantaniously. Tried starting car up again and then turning off, still would not unlock. Finally my husband came out with our spare fob and was able to unlock liftgate door and close again and then I was able to unlock my car. Has not happened since. Talked to a dealer and doesn't know what could have cause it. At the time, my windows worked and thought I was going to have to climb out the window.

Covid gremlins. The apocalypse has begun...

Very strange indeed. If it ever happens again, try manually holding the physical lock switch inside the handle bar open with one hand while pulling the door lever with the other. If your husband likes pranks, he could’ve been locking the door each time you were unlocking.😈
