• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So I got a call from my dealer and my new Telly should be here around Sept 2nd! It’s been ages since I’ve purchased a new vehicle and I wanted to hear from people as to what major areas they look at when doing their inspection prior to taking possession.

Paint and interior scratches. I bought a vehicle that had a huge scratch hidden under the console lid, no big deal but they would've replaced the part had I caught it. That vehicle also had a big scratch in the paint but I didn't notice until I got home so I was out of luck.

Fit and finish as well. I saw a new Telluride on the lot where the trim didn't line up well on the bottom of the door and it was noticeable. Try getting them to fix that after you pick up the vehicle.

Tire pressure! A lot of dealers don't set the pressure correctly after shipping. There are some threads on that.

Just go over all the surfaces.

Make sure the dealer sets the tire pressure at the proper setting, The factory over inflates the tires so it rolls more easy around the factory floor.

Tire pressure is the thing....other aspects are just a "walk around" and look for paint issues from transport, but any of that can happen no matter the brand!
