• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What type of gas do you use

Watching a YouTube video there was mention of detergent in the gasoline will make it run better.
Saying you should use top tier gas.
my question is what would be the best gas to use in the Telluride.
Hello>>>>I am a retired auto mechanic, I graduated Trade & Tech schools, I am also a General motors institute graduate (And I am ASE Qualified).
Specs don't lie but people & companies do! With that said, this SUV has a compression ratio or 13 t0 1 which is a whole lot of compression (Plus extra stress) on any engine! I suspect KIA has engineered a "Knock-sensor" in this car, but I would never run 87 octane (Even 89 octane is questionable) in this vehicle. I like the advertised horsepower but it comes at a price (Lower gas mileage and more engine and premature drive train issues... Just my 2-cents!
