• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... DAT is very interesting. Mind filling us in on why? I’m really curious on this one...
The X3 M40i is a mid size suv that’s all about performance with 444 hp at the flywheel and 355 hp to wheels. So it’s fast and fun to drive, but not a comfortable ride on trips over 200 miles; just not practical for us. We’ve had trucks and larger suv’s (Expedition), so we’re used to lots of room for outdoor gear and luggage. The X3 was a very expensive impulsive purchase. Time to move on while the value is high on the X3. I think the Telluride is just the ticket with above average features and build quality. A comparable BMW X7 would be 80k (or more), and the bimmer warranty can’t touch the Kia warranty. Practical trumps track performance.

The X7 starts at $74k. Do you mean the X5? I'm thinking a nicely equipped X7 will be close to $100k...

No, you're right, @Big T. A well-equipped BMW X7 is about $80k... Heh. That's really not a bad deal. Double the cost of the Telluride but I'm used to BMW charging an arm, a leg, and a liver...

You’re right. Loaded X7 close to 100k. Last week I looked at a 2018 X5 50i with 13k miles for 66k. I drove it so I could compare to my X3 and Telluride. I actually liked the Telluride better than the X5.

Replacing an Audi S7. Car is lots of fun. But, getting to to end of warranty. Musician here, carry lots of gear. Going the sensible route. Found tons of features / value in the Telluride SX.

That's great to hear! What did you like about the Telluride better than the X5?

Nice! Another Audi conquest! :)
