• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Today i was sitting inside the car for an hour with everything switched off, my doors locked from inside and with the window little open. I was basically waiting inside the car for my sons classes to finish.
I heard multiple low whirring and purring noises from inside of car dash at various intervals. I am sure it was not from outside as i could hear it distinctly very well even though very low pitched. Any idea what is going on ?

I hear the electronic parking brake make a whirring sound when switched on and off, could this have been the sound you heard?

Yes electronic parking break is a very distinct loud noise when I turn off the car and that is only once. These are very low intermittent whirring noises.

Yesterday, I noticed our '18 Subaru making a very quiet whirring noise. I comes from the rear wheel area, near where the gas tank is located. I seem to remember that there is an evaporator fan/system associated with the canister system which handles gas fumes. I need to research more, hope this helps.
