• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Not me. Well up until my SX arrived I’ve never read one cover to cover. There is so much stuff crammed into this car it was very enlightening for me to go over every button and feature with the manual open to the applicable section. For instance I didn’t know the electronic parking brake can apply extra force if you are parked on a steep incline if you know how. Practically every feature, safety or not, can be tweaked or turned off completely. You can tilt the moonroof without opening it. You can switch between Smart Cruise and Regular Cruise on the fly. There’s a procedure to move the wiper arms to a position that makes changing blades easier. Who knew? Have you found something interesting in the manual? Please share!

I am one of the nerds who also reads the manual. Like you pointed out, there are things folks will never know unless they accidentally stumbled on to it or they read it here. Thanks for sharing. I will be sure to read mine once I get it (October ETA).

This isn’t just a convenience feature, it’s required if you don’t want to destroy the paint on the edge of your hood.

Find one of the PDFs and get going early! 😊

Pro tip: download the PDF and keep it on your phone and/or tablet. It’s so easy to find and reference things that way.

I really wish more people cared enough to research their manual and poke around on their own. You bought an expensive piece of machinery, why not use it to its fullest?

I never have, but I will be :)

I tried, but couldn’t get through it all. I’ve skimmed through most of it though. The search function on the PDF is great though to quickly look up what you need.

In case you need a PDF version that includes the illustrations viewable on on your iPhone.

Sure would be nice with that 10" touchscreen if they made a context sensitive interactive help/manual available through firmware update

That’s a no brainer...put the manual where people can actually use it

Ford has done this with the new 2021 F150.
