• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Wireless CarPlay Carlinkit 3.0 50% off

Crazy question… did anyone find a nice way to store the thing once it’s set up? Doesn’t it get in the way of the wireless charging pad?? Seems it would be in the way.
Probably not a solution for everyone but I used some 3M double sided tape and attached it to the underside of the lid that folds down to cover the charging port area. Seems to work pretty well. I’m hoping that Goo Gone will help clean it up when I need to remove it some day….

Been using my unit for about 2 months now. Was glitchy when I was using iOS 14. Since updating to iOS 15, it has been running smoother. Especially for Waze navigation. Waze still can be glitchy but reliable for the most part. Google Maps and Apple maps are more reliable, less lag at turns and never crashes. My city uses bluetooth under the tunnels to improve GPS reception, it always causes Carlinkit to crash when I use Waze and drive through the tunnels. Not an issue for the other map apps. I think Waze is a data hog

I also ended up using double sided velcro and attached on the lid covering the wireless charger compartment. The device itself is as small as a business card.

I noticed the Carlinkit stays blinking even after turning off the car. Haven’t timed to see how long after the car is off. It is definitely off when I start the car the first time for the day.

Overall I am happy with my purchase. Especially for the discounted price. For drives where I really want to rely on Waze (for speed traps) I use the data USB directly. Otherwise, convenient to have Carplay without plugging in every drive.

Omg it feels like Christmas!! Couldn’t pass it up and ended up ordering one. This pretty much works to have phone on the screen correct? Play Netflix and use other apps on the Telluride Screen. Correct me if I am wrong. 😁👍
Actually, this one cant support playing Netflix or Youtube. I have an adapter named AI Box which supports enjoying Netflix episodes, TikTok, YouTube, Audible books, and even online games. I bought mine for the main reason to watch Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, and also play Xbox via Gamepass all on my lunch breaks, all on the SC screen.

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm waiting on my 22 Telly, what would I need this for? Does the iphone not link well with the car?

You would need this or similar if you want to get the Apple CarPlay interface without having to plug in.

If you’re fine with regular old Bluetooth audio and phone call capability, then you can just ignore any of this stuff.

But if you want to use CarPlay, you will either have to plug in or get one of these adapters.
