• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... After reading some of the horror stories of very long waits, I am thrilled to learn that I have a VIN and ETA for delivery! I live in New Mexico but am buying from a dealer in Plano, TX (better deal). I ordered an SX with Nightfall, AWD, Tow package. I did not get the Prestige package (maybe that's why the wait wasn't as long?)

Congratulations!!

I am SOOO happy for you to be close to your 'arrival' date! I ordered my Telluride SX w/prestige and tow pkgs 11/2019 and have a 11/2020 possible 'landing' date... I am grateful to my parents for letting me borrow their 1998 'sin-bin'.

I suspect that my not getting the Prestige package may have sped things up a bit.

Talked to the Dealer in Texas today and car is scheduled to arrive Friday 23 Oct 2020 (11 days from now). I will be renting a car Friday and driving down to pick up and drive back on Saturday (at least that's the plan, knock on wood). I'm going to wait until I have confirmation the car is actually there of course before I pick up the rental car and head down. Fingers crossed.

They emailed me a copy of the window sticker (I'm probably a litte paranoid until I actually have the car in my posession so I'm blacking out certain information - just posting to show the features and options). One minor thing I noticed is the car is including the cargo net and cargo cover, even though I did not really want nor order those. Oh well, I'll go ahead and get those items LOL.
(In the upper left it says "black" interior, but it is actually butterscotch, as indicated in "Additional Installed Equipment." Weird, I know.

The black interior listed refers to the carpeting and hardliner color of the interior. Your leather seats are butterscotch. There are multiple threads that cleared this confusion up for all of us. 😊

Ah, ok, thanks for that clarification.

I just order the certified cashiers check to be FedEx'd to me and will be driving one-way rental to Plano TX next Friday (23rd Oct). The ETA for my car is supposed to be that Friday, but I'm going to confirm that is the case before heading out, even if it means a late start. In all likelihood I will actually be picking up the car on Saturday morning. Keeping fingers crossed the ETA is accurate and there are no delays.

This will be the first time in my life I have ever purchased any car for full MSRP, but I know that even to get no dealer markup is a good deal for this car. In fact I'm actually paying $400 under MSRP if you want to get technical since I will get the military discount as a veteran (just have to take my DD-214 to show them).

I ordered the car on August 31st and will be picking up October 24th - just 54 days! Can't complain.

Thank you for your service! It's exciting to be picking up your new Telluride, isn't it? Congratulations. I should be getting mine in about 3 weeks.

Wow, looking at your signatire and your order date - you've really been waiting a long time! I honestly thought I would be waiting a lot longer that just under 2 months. I suspect that the fact I didn't order the Prestige package may be partly why my turn around was relatively short.

Patience really is a virtue. Everyone who got theirs all said "it's worth the wait!" I'm counting my days now, not months. I was originally told April or May, before Covid hit. It's nice that everyone on this forum is happy for those that get their cars. It just proves we all really can be civil when we want to be.

They may get it in the afternoon/evening and need some time to prep it for delivery. I'd plan to pick it up on Saturday.

Yeah, that's probably a good idea. I know they will need some time to prep. I just hope they are ble to tell me the car is in in time for me to get my rental car Friday night.
