Yellow Fog Light film mod

I've looked through the forum and hadn't found anyone mentioning doing this so I thought I would post my results. I've always been a fan of yellow fog lights as opposed to white ones. It may be my imagination but it seems to me the yellow light actually cuts through the fog a little better than white. I had put a Lamin-x film over the fog lights on my previous two vehicles and was very satisfied with the results. So, I decided to do the same with our recently purchased Telly. I bought a 4" x 8" sheet of yellow Lamin-x film from Amazon. I cut it in half so I had two 2" x 8" strips and installed them on Telly with very little trimming. So far, I'm happy with the results.

It wasn't me. I just put them on a couple weeks ago plus I don't have a Facebook account.

Cool, so there are two of you now..you like it better than the white? We rarely get fog around here...It would be cool to see a night shot sometime if you wouldn't mind posting one sometime at your convenience.

we used to have a yellow "spotlight "on our boat , it was not good for general visibility BUT it really picked up floating objects much better than a white light ( I never boat in the fog so I dont know how it works in that environment)

There are studies out there that show that amber light cuts through fog better than white light.

I went out and took this shot before going to bed. Please ignore the weird reflections my camera (phone) placed, mainly the grill. It would be cool to be able to get a pic with fog but obviously that's not going to happen for several months from now.

So this article sheds some light on the differences , excuse the pun ! Certainly the yellow appears to have less reflection , easing driving fatigue , I would concur especially in a snow storm
