Telluride sx lift and larger tires

I did the install and I love it. I have mud guards that I installed prior to the tire and lift upgrade that rub a little on the fronts. I like the mud guard look but will remove them soon.
This is exactly the upgrade I want to make, without the lift (it's a lease). Do you think the rubbing would be worse if it was at stock height? Seems like most of the rub comes from the fore-aft parts of the wheel well, not the top.

You may be right about the height but you may need to add the spacer since the tires will be just about an inch wider. The shop knew what they were doing even though they never did a Telluride before so I went with their recommendation.

I posted the same issue earlier in this thread on Nov 29. It's annoying and even gotten to the point where people have flashed their lights at me because the lights are pointed slightly up.
I ordered the Truxxx lift also. Do you have the Tow package with leveling suspension? Have you gone back to the shop or dealer to see what they recommend?

If he does have the tow package, it'll be in line with a couple of other members who have the tow package that have had issues with the lift kit not being level. It seems the self leveling shocks are messing with the kit. I don't have the tow package and everything is fine with my lift.

Yea I noticed the same. Most people with the Tow package seem to sit lower in the rear when parked. Supposedly driving the car would automatically level it out, but I don't know if that actually happens.

Do you have any more pics of this? I have the same one with the truxx lift and am wondering about bigger rubber.

Thanks! That looks really good!

Dave Fingers that lift and those tires look great! Wondering how much the auto charged for lift install. A mechanic here says $700 sounds high but they do great work.

I paid $575 (Canadian) for install & alignment at Kia.

What tires and wheels did you decide on?
Haven't yet. I've only had it a few weeks. It still looks "ok" for now. I like the nightfall rims, I want to do bigger rubber. The Telluride is for my wife mostly, so she keeps telling me "it's fine the way it is." .... They just don't understand. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Lol yea.. the stance already looks better with that extra clearance. Similar to how the new Sorento Xline compares to non Xline versions, and that's only a difference of an inch.

I'm leaning towards the Toyo AT3 tires, but haven't figured out what size yet. Would be nice if there was a shop that would be willing to throw different in stock tires on to find the best largest dimensions while still avoiding rubbing.

Pretty sure the lift kit was $300 plus install. Also added a 1” spacer to bring it further out. Total with tires $2K, they also through in painting of the calipers.

I'm going with Nitto Ridge Grappler 265/60 18". I'm staying with 18" but bigger wider tire to get good traction off-road camping and I like the silver rims.

Agree... I went with 20” wheels and 255/55 Toyo Open Country AT3 (31” diameter) with the 2” lift and anything larger would rub...
What offset for rims? Ordered same size tires.

Truxxx lift installed by local wheel/tire shop for 3 hours labor plus alignment. Said it was a simple install. They recently did my brother's Atlas which was 6hrs labor. (Dealer where I purchased said they wouldn't do the install.) I left the rubber spacer at 100% in the back (I believe the instructions mentioned custom cutting if desired), and both front and back from center hub to fender are now 2" taller. So not sure I did any "leveling" in the process.

Went with the Toyo A/T IIIs on stock SX 20 inch rims. 255/55/20. I have the factory installed splash guard kit and immediately had a tiny rub on the front guards at certain turning points. Not really noticeable and imagine this will go away as tires and/or plastic wear down. Definitely couldn't go any bigger. Before and after pics below. To me, "after" looks like what it should be and "before" is a slammed version. :)

Can you take a picture from the front and rear? I am going with the same setup but want to see if the tires are flush with the outside of the wheel well.

Got some new wheels and tires. Black Rhino Arches (Bronze) 17x8 with Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/65R17. They are a bit louder than the Wildpeak AT Trail I had on the 20's, but they don't make the Trail in that size. I do have the Truxxx lift. No rubbing.

Looks good man.. I have an EX Telluride that came with the 18” wheels.. I had the Truxxx kit installed by a shop, and then went with a 20” wheel and 255/55/r20 Toyo Open Country AT3 tire.. Diameter of wheels and tires is 31”. I love it.. it’s tight, but no rub.. anything bigger and it would’ve rubbed.. adding the side steps and crossbars tomorrow..
what is the offset
