• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Anyone able to negotiate a discount on UVO?

I just paid $199 for the year to renew ultimate. It gave me a coupon of MYUVO for $98 discount, hopefully it works for everyone.
Thanks but it did not work for me unfortunately.

I emailed Kia customer care asking for a free extension because of the poor service quality earlier this year then of course the pandemic. They gave me 3 additional months for free. Doesn’t hurt to ask.

If I ever get around to installing a proximity switch for door lock/unlock; I will consider dropping the service. Vehicle tracking is handy at times. I’m middle ground on renewing after my 1 year of free ultimate service. I’ll cross that bridge when it gets here

Has anyone come across any promos for this year? My subscription just ran out and I really don't want to keep paying $24.00/month. Having to have to pay for a subscription after what I already paid for the SUV is a joke.

Call them; they might give you a discount if you threaten to drop their service

Interesting inquiry to UVO desk today. Was informed a price reduction will happen by March 1. How much? They will not say. The fellow said I will receive an email regarding new pricing.

Great news if true. Was originally planning on going with Accessorides but if Kia plays their cards right I might just stick it out with UVO.

This is great to hear! Despite claims from other people, I have had a terrific experience using UVO. Sure, it's not immediate remote start like my key fob (2021 EX-P), but it gets the job done when I'm scrambling around the house getting the kids ready. I don't carry my keys with me around the house, but I have the phone.

I don't see myself purchasing the ultimate, so if the mid-level pricing tier somehow gets reduced to $99/year, I'm totally in.

@daviddlee do you have a breakdown of what the different pricing tiers are and for what options?

I've seen a couple of comments on consumers not being aware of the subscription, and as much as you can fault the consumer, it's a shame not all dealerships are explaining to their customers at the time of purchase.

I was aware of the subscription but my dealer also went into great detail what UVO was, and that it's only free for the 1st year.

Hopefully we see a price reduction as 2020 owners are more frustrated, with reason (no remote start on key fob).

Logging into UVO, this is what I see now. The 33% discount that people mentioned earlier in the thread might come closer to your 1st year free expiration date. I took delivery of my Telly on 1/12/21.

Yes, my UVO is expiring at the end of the month and the discount is already applied. Probably going to pull the trigger for the plus package for $149 a year.

i'm going to try it out and see how useful it is, but at $149/yr, I think I would pull the trigger and get it too...

Mine doesnt expire until September, also seeing the discount.

I am new here, possibly coming from my Ford Explorer. Ford Pass is free. This nickel and dime stuff is BS.

Good thing it’s optional

If Kia offered 10 years of UVO for free at 3K more MSRP, would you have bought the Telluride? Free FordPass has the price baked into the MSRP. Every manufacturer's business model differs. Research what you are getting into before you make a purchase.

Yeah but if you would of brought a Hyundai same company pretty much you would of got 3 years free when you purchased. They also included the first 3 years 36,000 maintenance oil changes etc for free. I would of got the palisade if the exterior didn't look so ugly. The yearly and monthly fee's are getting old with everything having them now. Be nice to give 3-5 years service included. I just hope they don't start going ala carte with all features on your car you want heated seats its $10, you want a heated steering wheel its $8, cooled seat its $7.

Not sure if this is the right place to note this but UVO is big brother for Kia.

I'm dealing with Kia with warranty issues and the Kia HQ Analyst I spoke to asked if I had been to a dealer yesterday...yes, I was...at a Global Auto mall with multiple dealerships with my cousin looking at a Chevy Corvette. There was a Kia dealership on that site as well...

How the F did the Kia rep know that other then by tracking my vehicle history? I have no idea...
