Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

James, Northtown Kia in Armhurst NY is willing to sell at MSRP

I think I ended up ordering through the same dealer from IN ;).....at this point I have had some contact with what seems like every dealer in OR and WA. Best deal I found was $2k over msrp on factory order. have found a dealer in CO that is offering MSRP +$195. West Coast is pretty rough it seems.
Who was the dealer at MSRP + $195?
thanks!

A fellow forum member provided information for HillTop Kia in CA, I believe they offer MSRP, as well as iKia in Colorado. If you are looking to get closer to west coast. I think I will stick with Muncie Kia in IN since my order is already in and Im not in a rush for the vehicle.

I purchased my Telluride S FWD from Paramount Kia of Asheville from Michael Cole. It was an awesome experience. I live in SC and had not-so-good experiences at the two local Kia dealers. I was going to order the Everlasting Silver through my local Kia, but they wanted a NR $1K down, $1999 markup over MSRP and $499 for an ELO GPS that they stated was mandatory.

However, I told them I would need to confirm my rate and financing with my bank before I give them $1000. I went home to do research and found the exact car I wanted in Asheville, NC. I sent a message online and within 10 minutes, Michael reached out to me. This was a Saturday. I went back and forth with him regarding price after the first quote he sent me, but got it down to a price that I was OK with. They waited for me while I secured financing from my CU and when I explained that it was hard for me to find someone to drive me there to pick up the vehicle, Michael came to SC and picked me up. I was in the dealership for about 10 minutes signing paper and spent about 10 minutes with the product specialist, Alisha, going over the car's features. I was on the road about 5 minutes after that.

If I could, I would drive the 2 and a half hours just to get my oil changed there.

I placed an order with Keri at Finnin Kia in Dubuque IA on October 30th - no mark-up over MSRP. They told me at the time it would be a 8-12 week wait. (SXP AWD White with black int. + tow) We were/are not in a hurry, so the wait was well worth it as our local Kia dealer (Gerald Kia of Naperville) was asking $3-4K over MSRP. This has been the best dealer experience I have ever had. The Finnin team has been communicating with me throughout the process - updating me on estimated delivery dates. The owner (April Finnin) is even texting me updates. On Jan 12th they emailed me the window sticker of my vehicle. On Monday 1/25, they told me my vehicle has left Georgia and is being shipped to IA! I will wait for a final review of Finnin, but so far everything has been going great. Can't wait to pick up our vehicle. Assuming I can get my vehicle within the next week or so, we will be a week beyond the 12 week estimate.

Spoiler alert... 32 days from order to delivery from Ray Skillman Westside Kia in Indianapolis... oh yeah, at MSRP with no dealer add-ons😍 Ask for Dorsey.

Ray Skillman Westside Kia in Indianapolis, I can’t say enough about how great our experience was with everyone there. Dorsey Bail (Sales Person) and Lorne Hayden (Sales Manager) went above and beyond meeting my expectations. After speaking on the phone with Dorsey, we arrived in the store on 12/26 to put in an order. I knew I wanted an EX in black or grey, but wasn’t sure on color or if I wanted the NF package. She had a couple Tellurides lined up next to each other, so I could see NF vs non-NF side by side, as well as a K5 sedan in wolf grey. That made the decision easy for me; wolf grey EX NF without tow package. Lorne and Dorsey were up front and said it could be Feb/March before it arrived, but possibly sooner. I wasn’t in a rush, and felt my selection was worth the wait.
On 1/14 Lorne reached out to me to let me know my VIN was created and had an ETA of 1/31, I was shocked and now really excited.
On 1/22 Lorne followed up with me again saying my Telly was scheduled to leave Georgia on 1/23 and could be at their lot on the first half of the week.
As soon as they opened at 9am today, Dorsey called to let me know it arrived! We picked it up this afternoon😎

Also, Bryan Schultz (Finance Manager) was great. Had all our paperwork ready once we got back there, kept our toddler entertained, and was just a pleasure to work with.

Another shout-out here for Hilltop Kia Ford in Richmond, CA. I bought from them based on the good reviews in this forum and because I couldn't find any dealers (I contacted about five) in greater San Diego (where I live) that would even listen to me when I said I wanted a Telluride for MSRP. I worked with Carlos Orozco and Lewis Belt at Hilltop and they were completely straightforward and professional with me over the 3-4 months it took to order and build my Telluride and have it delivered. From their very first email response they quoted me MSRP for my specific trim line and options and stuck to it, never trying to fudge the numbers or add on confusing fees. Carlos kept me in the loop the whole way as the car proceeded through the order/build/ship process.

I flew up and took delivery of my Sangria EX AWD yesterday and drove it home to San Diego with my wife. We were at the dealership for about two hours total (mainly because we had a lot of questions for Lewis about the operation of the car, which he thoroughly answered) and the entire process was simple. The car is spectacular (although I must say the Sangria color is considerably darker than what I expected from photos on the internet. That's my totally subjective opinion, of course).

Had a fantastic experience at Dutch Miller Kia in Charlotte this week; my salesmen Matt was incredibly helpful.

Came in last Saturday to look at a white SX Nightfall Edition, but it didn't have the Prestige package and I was adamant about wanting the heads up display. Matt let us know a wolf grey SX Nightfall was arriving by February 5th and told us we could put down a $1000 deposit to hold it at any time.

Fast forward, we heard from Matt yesterday that it had arrived early; he texted us a picture of the vehicle and window sticker. Called this morning to pay the deposit over the phone, showed up with our trade this evening, drove home by 8pm. 🙏🏾

This forum has been a money saver and so helpful. I found my dealer on this good list and they have been great. No markup over MSRP. Patient even after I changed my color choice twice. Hilltop Kia, Richmond California, Sales Manager Carlos Orozco. Only days away now from taking delivery. My beast is on a delivery truck headed West. ETA 2/9.

I’m working with Carlos too! Congratulations on your car. Post photos when you can.

My gravity gray was due on 12/23 and I called on 11/12 to say I had changed my mind on the color. He said no problem, he’d keep the gravity gray on order because he knew he’d have no issue selling it and placed a new order for me. Delayed me from 12/23 to expecting 2/9 possibly sooner.

All good things about Lucas and Muncie; I live in N. Indiana so made a two hour drive, all went well, costco discount. Still very happy with purchase 2 1/2 mo. later. I know you weren't addressing this to me, just jumped in b/c I'm part of the Kia Muncie customer base. Mine was Black Copper/Dune.
Ballpark what is the Costco discount worth? I live in Indianapolis and there’s plenty of Kia dealers around here, but if none of them will honor the Costco discount and it’s worth it, I’ll make the drive up to Muncie, it’s not that far.

Call Lucas to get a quote. Depends on trim level and optics. He'll give you a final cost. Then you can decide to order or not. No strings. If you decide to order, you give him refundable deposit.

Just wanted to give a shout-out to Nicole and the other folks at i25. I put down a deposit with them as a backup in case hilltop couldn't come through due to their lower allocation. They put my order in already, but hilltop ended up getting a similar eta for me and since I live in the bay area, decided to go with them.

I reached out to i25 and let them know I was going to go with hilltop instead and thanks them for working with me. They refunded my deposit without giving me any grief. Honest folks, and I'd consider them in the future if I ever need to get a high demand kia and can't figure anything out with CA dealers.

Holding my breath. It just rolled in today and now it’s time for the finance karma to go to work.
