• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... EX 3rd Row -- Different Leather?

I just noticed that on my 2021 EX-P, it feels like the leather on the third row is different from the leather in the first two rows. Has anyone else noticed this in an EX or SX (non-prestige)? The leather feels and looks smoother, which I don't necessarily like. During my research I had seen some other 3-row crossovers like the Ford Explorer advertising something like "leather-trimmed seats (1st and 2nd rows only)," from which I would infer that the third row is leatherette. But the Telluride's specs just says "leather seat trim" without any qualifications. So maybe it's just a cheaper (but still real) leather in the third row of the Telly?

This has been discussed, and there is no way it is real leather in the third row. And why would it be? It’s the third row. Many people probably keep theirs folded. Virtually no other manufacturers (and certainly no mainstream ones) have leather in their third rows.

Arg. I told my wife that this was one of the benefits of the Telluride over other models.. It's really misleading that they don't state this on the stat sheet, as some other brands do.

On the other hand, it makes me much more glad that we went with the EX over the S, because I think the difference between the SOFINO and the real leather is pretty obvious.

On the Kia website Telluride page at the bottom you can compare trims. Under EX it says leather trimmed seats in all rows. Hopefully that’s right! Like you, wondering if perhaps a more durable leather or treated leather given the added abuse to the third row.

You're right! Hmmmm. Now I'm even more confused. Maybe I'll give my dealership a call.
