What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

I live in Colorado and the dealership never mentioned the mark up. I happened to notice an additional 5,000 on the MSRP listed for a SX and asked what it was, then I was told it was the markup price unless I ordered the car first. One dealership stated it would take 2 moths the other one 5 months. The longer I wait the more research and knowledge I am gaining.

I think that was great.

I could really use some help. I am about to order a Telluride EX. At first I was in love with the Moss Green until today I drove a Wolf Grey color which I loved however another 495.00 My question to anyone who has purchased an EX - are there any additions you got that you really did not need which could cut the cost or something you wished you added like the towing package - do you really need the self leveling suspension??? For example, is the nightfall package (1,295) something you could have lived without. The EX premium package is another 1,695 but you cannot get the 20 inch wheels unless you add on the premium package. The MSRP is 39,590 and I am up to 52,617 walk out the door price. HELP??
Thats a crap deal........I've heard several folks here mention CO dealerships that sell at MSRP. And yes if you order one, you'll end up waiting 3-5 months. I'm approaching 5months and i still don't have a VIN# assigned to me.

For that price point, you can get an SXP to the tilt and still be under what they are charging you.

Just bought mine from Lawton Kia in Lawton Oklahoma, although I live in Dallas Texas. The car is a 2021 Telluride S. Most dealers were 3-5k above MSRP around here plus 1-2k in dealer add ons. We got the car, had a few additional options like roof rack, interior ambient lighting, cargo cover, fabric floor mats, mud guards, etc that brought the MSRP to $37,560. On top of that the dealer gave us all weather floor mats, wheel locks, treated the interior and exterior with a protectant coating, added a brake safety feature (rear taillight flashes when braking) and tinted the windows. We purchased the car for for 37k plus applicable fees (TTL). So we were able to get 500 under MSRP plus the add ons. How did we do?
Sounds like you DID Great to Me!!!!! I live in Tulsa, can't even find on e to test drive. I must be doing something wrong.!!!!!

I just bought a 2021 Telluride EX-P FWD Sangria w/ Gray leather. MSRP was $41K, and I got a $1.5K discount, and with taxes and dealer fees of $2K it came to $41.5K OTD. I also think I got a reasonable deal on my trade-in (I was able to talk them up from $16K to $20K, which matches the best offer I was able to get from another dealer).

My wife thinks I wasn't aggressive enough in the negotiations and that I could have gotten $3K under. What do you all think?

Sounds like a good deal; surprised to see the dealer go up on your trade. They are notorious on low balling that vehicle

That post was from Feb. 2019. Little did I or anyone else know how hot the vehicle was going to be. I’m paying MSRP, and while it’s killing my cheap behind a little bit, that’s pretty darn good for this car right now.

Personally, I think both the Telluride and Palisade kill the new Highlander and the now ancient Pilot.
Well don't feel left out because exactly two years ago when the Telluride first debut during the Super Bowl to most I was already convinced that it was the SUV I wanted. My problem was that I had been shopping for a Luxury like SUV "AKA" Benz or Range Rover but wanted the reliability of a Pilot or Highlander. Initially the delay in getting the Telluride was over trim and color options that I wanted, followed by no supply and later it became an issue of not being able to accept paying MSRP on a KIA or anything over it.

It took me two years to finally get over the "KIA" brand thing in my head and on 1/5 i went back to the first dealership that i initially test drove it at and without hesitation or negotiation ordered the one i had wanted at MSRP with a smile. I threw on all the extra options I wanted which brought the price to over $50K for a KIA.

I've heard plenty of friends tell me, MSRP for a KIA??? and i tell them yes and without shame or regret.

Bottom line is KIA beat the socks off the competition. I was disappointed that in two years Honda, Toyota and US automakers had not stepped up their game to try and offer any real contender to the Telluride. So with that said they lost me as a consumer

My next car would have been a Honda - likely the Pilot - if Honda had done any work to update, redesign and seriously compete. Nope. Gave my money to Kia.

Same - I was tired of waiting around for Honda to get their act together with the Pilot. Seeing what they did with the relatively new Passport as well as their refresh to the Ridgeline left me seriously underwhelmed. I don't have much confidence that the redesigned Pilot this summer will be able to contend with the Telluride.

Exactly, I was so close to buying the Pilot Elite but just couldn't get myself to agree to driving something that resembled a minivan more than an truck. I have a 2006 honda Odyssey which I purchased in mid 2005 that has been absolutely incredible. While Honda makes great cars they have fallen asleep on style, interior design/material and over all technology. Even the MDX failed to impress. So now KIA has my business. Very disappointed with Honda because I really like their motors and reliability.

We're coming from a 2016 MDX, which -- while the engine is great -- has a terrible transmission and laughably bad infotainment. The new MDX has a much better transmission, but it just didn't really offer anything over the Telluride aside from slightly better handling. Also the third row in the MDX is a joke, it's really a large 2-row SUV.

My family's had a lot of Acuras/Hondas over the years and they've always been good (or at least fine), but Kia got our business this time around with their great style, attention to detail, and bang for the buck. While I still have a lot of respect for their engineers, Honda/Acura overall seems tired in comparison. I did have a 2011 Kia Optima SX (in Corsa Blue!) for several years awhile back which I think was kind of the beginning of the Kia revitalization. I always enjoyed that car, and it never gave me a single problem.

I just bought a 2021 Telluride S AWD for $100 less than MSRP and they offered $4500 on a trade in where the blue book was $2000. Pretty happy overall to get such a deal during covid. Took me forever to find someone to sell a telluride at MSRP.

PXL_20210209_021854407.jpgwolf gray sxp straight off the trailer today. Great dealership. gave us a heads-up that they had one coming in that wasn't spoken for and worked with us to hold it till it came in with no money to hold it and no markup. Others around us are adding 5.5k to sticker

Very nice - what was the MSRP?

Just put the order in today with Ray Skillman Kia (Shadeland/East side) in Indy for an SX Prestige/Nightfall in Gravity Gray with Dune interior. Agreed to pay MSRP, $49,715 (includes destination) + very nominal doc and registration fees (under $250 total). Did it all over the phone in less than 10 minutes with Shawn the general sales manager (initially contacted Christian, a salesman there, based on another forum member's recommendation). Estimated timeframe about 3 months.

This was after getting jerked around for 5 days by Napleton Kia, who refused to give me a price via email/text and started talking about a $5-10k "market adjustment". Could have saved a little more below MSRP by going up the road a bit to this forum's beloved Kia of Muncie (because Costco pricing), but their order timeframe was twice as long and we decided we'd rather pay MSRP and have it sooner for some road trips this summer.

I'll reserve final judgement on which dealer thread Ray Skillman goes into until we get the car and go through the actual purchase process, but so far so good!
The head manager I spoke with at Napleton on 96th is horrible. This was about a year ago. I ended up getting ours at Ray Skillman Westside.

I spoke with Carlos w/ Hilltop yesterday, placed my order (and under what I was quoted at another dealer). Thank you again for the information. :)
What did they tell you on timeline? Lewis told me 6-8 months. Also, are you in the Portland area? Im in Camas and am wondering about cost to ship.
