Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

Hi team- Anyone know of a dealer in the Pacific Northwest willing to order at MSRP with no markup or extra add ons? We're in Seattle. Looking for an EX AWD + Premium in Moss with black interior. Someone on the forum mentioned they ordered at MSRP from the dealership in Kirkland, but they said they stopped that over a month ago and now have a markup. We don't mind waiting for the right car at the right price. Thanks in advance for leads!
I am in Spokane. In mid December I spent a lot of time researching and contacting dealers all over the West Coast, Southwest and Mid West. I found only two of them willing to take an order for MSRP. One wanted a $795 dealer document fee. White's Mountain Kia in Casper. WY only wanted $204 for the dealer doc fee. Placed my order with Taylor Thornton (cell is 307 267 3576) who is very honest, no salesman rhetoric and detail oriented so the order was correctly placed. Very happy with his follow up. Yes, Casper is a bit of a trip from Spokane, but, the thousands saved in markup over MSRP other dealers quoted me (including all in WA) more than make up for the distance. Besides, if I decide to have it shipped in closed transport it is still much less expensive than paying the ADM. Good luck in your search. Hope this information helps.

I am also in PNW, it is very hard to find dealers at MSRP in Seattle/Portland area. I ordered from Hilltop Kia Richmond Ca with Moe, no mark up very honest. Good luck

Picked up my Telluride Monday from Van Griffith in Granbury Texas, everything was truthful and straightforward. No big city dealer BS (high pressure, playing games, upselling protection packages). Highly recommend ordering/buying from them. Jenny was my salesperson. MSRP.

I live in Maryland, and I closed on an SX yesterday with York Kia, in York, PA. I worked with Andy Starner who was completely professional, friendly, down-to-earth, and awesome to work with. I paid $400 in doc/dealer fees over MSRP, which was a welcome change from the $6-10K markup dealers in MD and VA were charging. Delivery of the vehicle was thorough, and my trade value was fair.

Congratulations on your new car. Also lucky you that you got frequent update from him and ETA. I put down deposit since early-mid Jan, but had not heard back from him since then, until a little over 4 weeks after my deposit, I contacted him but no update or ETA still.
Ah man...sorry to hear that. I would typically text Chris. Seemed the best route and he was quickest to respond via text. I'm not sure of the volume of business they do so can't comment on how long it might take for yours. Any luck seeing an VIN generated on failcat?

Today I ordered an SXP through Lev Kia of Framingham, MA. It was easy; called Ken Russian and put down $500 on my card. The whole thing took under five minutes since I knew exactly what I wanted on the car. Ken is a straight shooter, very businesslike and unlike many car salespeople, applies zero pressure. He also happens to be from my hometown. The price is straight MSRP minus any available incentives or rebates from Kia at the time of delivery. The only not so great part is the 22 week delivery window, but on the other hand that gives me six months to comfortably plan for the purchase. I guess I’ll be back in January!
Update: (January 22) Our 2021 SXP arrived a bit early! I received a call from Ken Russian at Lev Kia saying the transport truck had just arrived. He set us up with a ‘contactless’ pickup and because we use ferry service, he got us through the final sales paperwork and tags in under 2 hours, which is in my experience, record time at a dealership. The car was in PERFECT condition. I highly recommend Lev Kia in Framingham, MA. Ask for Ken!

It’s amazing how different parts of the country handle vehicle sales and delivery

I'm in the Olympia area and am looking for a dealer too. We want an SX+P NF in white.

BLUF: Another great transaction at Wyoming Valley KIA near Wilkes-Barre, PA.

First post!

Wife somehow found what she wanted... in Wyoming. We are in Maryland though. The KIA dealer about 45 minutes away wants $7,500 over MSRP. So bottom line we reached out to smaller dealers in VA, MD, and NC.

A little more research and it was Wyoming Valley in Wilkes-Barre PA, 5 hours away. Wife and I both pronounced this town name wrong BTW.

As noted in this good dealer thread, they were easy to deal with and charged us MSRP on a SX. We got there at 410pm and out the door at 510pm, getting a short overview of the features. We wanted to leave and get back home but this was a world record in the car buying world, am-I-right!?!

Angelo Berretta was great to deal with. Explained all the usual packages and the usual warranties all dealers sell these days. And again, got us on the road quickly. We talked a little about Fords and racing. Good guy.

The big boss, Fred Straus, stopped by. I work for the same company and his father so it was a great to chit chat. I mentioned why we drove 5 hours and we appreciated they didn't fleece us on this Telluride. He agreed the practice was terrible for customers.

Finally Dan Golubiewski helped my wife get the app/phone setup and general things in the car. Thanks Dan.

Hello fellow PNW'er.. :-). I am in Oregon and ordered from Munice Kia in IN back in December, based on forum reviews. Lucas at Muncie is great and is offering $1200 below MSRP Costco discount. Due to the long wait time with Muncie, I also ordered from Hilltop Kia, Richmond CA another great recommendation from forum members. Moe at Hilltop was fantastic. Like many other popular dealers Hilltop have a wait time as well. If you don't mind waiting 3-6 months, it is defiantly worth the wait. Anther recommendation is NowCar, I talk to Nathly and currently two people are in front of me to order Trim SXP NF. They have non refundable deposit, that is due once the order is accepted into production. NowCar will deliver car directly to your home and have approx $500 markup on vehicle.

I hope this help. Happy hunting.

That's really useful. Thank you very much.

Drove 4 hours north to Minneapolis to pick up my wolf grey SX-P. Couldn't be happier with the process. No additional fees and everyone at the dealership was great. @Mweiland Luther Kia

Order is in! We’ve had the easiest time working with Clint, the sales manager at Chuck Olson Kia in Shoreline. He put in a factory order for us at MSRP with no markup and no BS. It’ll probably take a good 5-6 months to get our car, but we’re getting exactly what we want at the price we wanted to pay, so we don’t mind waiting. I couldn’t recommend him more.

Thanks to others we looked up CarNow.com. It almost too good to be true. We would save almost 5K since we want a lot of add ons. I am forcing myself to keep looking for evidence it is not a rip off like these Outrageous New-Car Buying Scams To Avoid
I went down the road a bit with NowCar.com but was scared off by a lack of documented history and very few reviews.

I did have $500 deposit with them and when they were set to order the car they wanted 5% of MSRP NON-REFUNDABLE.

Even though if legitimate I would have saved $4k, I decided it was too good to be true. I mean they were selling one of the hottest cars in the US for UNDER INVOICE.

I didn’t want to be the guinea pig

BTW - they returned my deposit literally within SECONDS.

Strange, I'm emailing with Clint and he wanted "a modest $2,995 market adjustment above the factory MSRP."

Just picked up my 2021 SX AWD w/tow Gravity Grey from Kia of Muncie, Lucas Boehm. I waited a bit (December 2019) but it was worth it. Lucas and Jason put the dealers in my area (Milwaukee) to shame. It was a 5 hour drive to pick it up but I didn't care. Lucas spent a good part of the day explaining all he could about the car so the delivery process was just as smooth as the ordering process. You won't be disappointed.
THANK YOU KIA OF MUNCIE!!!
Just curious as to why the wait is so much longer at Muncie (8mon) as compared to others? Is the $1200 below retail because of the Costco auto discount? I'm from Milwaukee too and would make the 5hr drive to Muncie as well. I've been looking for a dark moss AWD with nightfall pkg and black leather. Every dealer in SE WI is gouging buyers with $4-5k markup.

Everyone has good things to say about Muncie. They Honour Costco auto discount and there is no surprise fees. Everything is up front and you are kept up to date on the process of your telluride. They also offer a very great extended warranty package that is way cheaper than Kias and people from all over the states are getting that through them. Unfortunately because so so many people are ordering through them the wait is long now but for the savings and dealing with a good dealership it’s well worth the wait for many.
